The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the show has a great opportunity for drama if they’ll just take advantage of it. Y&R fans know Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has formed a friendship with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), but she’d obviously like for it to be more.
Summer is falling hard for Chance, who’s currently in a romance with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) – though it’s not all that serious yet. It’s certainly not too late for Summer to make her move and get Chance’s attention.
Sharon has Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as a backup love interest option, so she might find love with her ex-husband again if her relationship with Chance fizzles.
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is poised to be a love triangle loser since she’s interested in rekindling things with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), who seems far more interested in reconnecting with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell).
Who might Phyllis’ next love interest be instead? Back when Donny Boaz came on the show as Chance, the show teased the possibility of Chance and Phyllis as a couple.
Chance ultimately got paired up with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and was eventually recast with Conner Floyd, so there have been some big changes since the days of Phyllis and Chance as a potential pairing.
However, this might be a good time to bring Chance and Phyllis back around as an intriguing option.
Mother-daughter love triangles certainly happen from time to time on soaps – and this could be a fierce one!
Since vengeful Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is set to send some danger Phyllis’ way, she might owe Chance her life if he intervenes.
A hospital crisis is brewing on Y&R, so we’ll see if Chance might get hurt saving Phyllis from catastrophe.
If so, that could be the prime setup for both Summer and Phyllis to develop stronger feelings for Chance.
Phyllis can never keep the peace with Summer for very long, so sharing a love interest could become their next source of conflict!
