The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) may move forward with her current matron of honor plan despite all the chaos Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is dealing with.
Y&R fans know Diane decided to extend the offer to Summer, but that was before Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) found out about his wife’s deception regarding Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Things are tense in Kyle and Summer’s marriage now, but Diane might think she can do her part to help.
Since Diane believes Phyllis is the real villain in all this, she’ll keep relying on her compassionate side and will likely invite Summer to stand up for her at the wedding.
Diane may point out that she still wants to be a real family and contend that this could be a nice first step.
Of course, Diane will insist she doesn’t blame Summer for Phyllis’ mistakes and will assure her that she was a victim, too.
Unfortunately, Diane’s Phyllis trash talk will inevitably set Summer off and lead to bad news. As far as Summer’s concerned, Diane is far from innocent.
Although Diane didn’t kill Phyllis, Summer still feels like her mother-in-law took over Phyllis’ life and pushed her over the edge.
It’s easy to imagine Summer shouting that none of this would’ve happened if Diane had just stayed “dead.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will launch a tirade, so she’ll really let Diane have it during the week of June 12-16.
Between Diane’s attempt to include Summer in the wedding and her disparaging Phyllis remarks, Summer may refuse to hold her tongue about how much she hates her.
Maybe Summer will reject this matron of honor offer and warn that she’ll never consider Diane her family.
It looks like Summer’s going to humiliate Diane with a scathing shutdown and make it crystal clear where she stands.
Will Diane just stand there and take it or will she finally decide she’s had enough of Summer’s awful attitude?
Time will tell, but Summer will definitely put Diane on full blast over her own blunders and could leave Diane tempted to fight back.
