The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) was serious when she told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) she wanted to move on. There was a time when Summer genuinely hoped to repair the damage with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but she’s accepted that her marriage is over now.
Of course, that’s partly because Kyle hopped in bed with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) so fast.
It hurt Summer deeply, so that’s playing a role in why she’s just throwing in the towel on her marriage at this point.
Kyle can’t get over the shattered trust in their relationship, so Summer would be better off finding someone new.
What Summer needs is a clean slate – and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) could be just the guy to provide that.
Chance is currently interested in Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), but they haven’t established any labels or had a conversation about being exclusive.
Will Summer steal Chance from Sharon during Y&R Autumn 2023?
Although Sharon and Chance could be on the verge of a real relationship, there’s still time for Summer to make her move.
In other words, Summer might swoop in and steal Chance from Sharon, especially since fans can see the flying sparks.
Chance and Summer have an intriguing bond that no doubt makes them want to see more of each other.

Summer will indeed consider the possibility of a romance with Chance, so he’ll be on her mind and maybe even in her heart.

Sharon could always reunite with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so Summer might encourage her dad to reconnect with his ex-wife romantically – just to clear her own path to a future with Chance!
