The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will grow increasingly concerned about the state of his relationship. Kyle has repeatedly voiced his fears that his marriage won’t survive unless he can prove Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) innocence to Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).
Unfortunately, Summer needs someone to hold responsible right now. Diane is an easy target due to her intense feud with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), which got particularly nasty just before Phyllis’ “death.”
Diane threatened Phyllis’ life right in front of Summer, so it’s understandable that Diane would be her top suspect.
That’s especially true since the evidence has mounted against Diane due to Phyllis and Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) frame-up.
Even so, Y&R fans know Diane isn’t guilty of Phyllis’ murder.
Unfortunately, Summer may not believe that until she ultimately sees for herself that Phyllis is alive!
In the meantime, Kyle and Summer’s marriage is going to deteriorate even further.
It’s clear that Kyle won’t turn his back on Diane since he truly believes she’s an innocent woman.
The longer this goes on, the angrier Summer will become with Kyle for his unwillingness to see what she views as the truth.
This is the kind of marriage conflict that often leads to steamy affairs on soaps, so Kyle might resort to cheating if he needs some comfort.
At the recent bicentennial gala, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was thrilled over the chance to officially meet Kyle.
Once Audra found Kyle’s phone, she made sure to return it herself – just so she could interact with the dashing and wealthy Abbott.
Y&R writers surely had a reason for showing Audra’s interest in Kyle, so that may have been the first step toward pushing them together.
Perhaps Audra will end up frustrated over her own failed efforts to steal Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) heart.
Maybe Audra could cross paths with Kyle at the bar and do some commiserating with him.
Audra might talk about her breakup with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) as well and suggest it’s frustrating when you can’t see eye to eye with someone you love.
If Kyle’s going to betray Summer as a result of all the marriage turmoil, Audra makes the most sense as his lover.
Besides being in the right age range, Audra is a snake who would absolutely love making Kyle her latest conquest.
When you throw in the interest Audra has already expressed, the stage may be set for a Kyle and Audra hookup to happen down the road.
Will Summer’s vendetta with Diane drive Kyle right into Audra’s bed?
Time will tell, but troubling news could be coming up for “Skyle” and their crumbling relationship.
