The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will get into an argument with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Crimson Lights, where the mom-to-be will deliver some shocking news.
After Sally admits she’s pregnant, Summer will be thrown for a loop.
There’s a good chance Summer will immediately assume Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the “baby daddy,” but Sally will confess Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the father instead.
Sally’s updates will leave Summer furious over all the drama that Nick’s being dragged into.
From Summer’s perspective, it’ll seem like Sally is just using Nick as an obstacle in Adam’s path.
Despite Sally’s attempts to convince Summer that the feelings she shares with Nick are real, Summer will refuse to believe that.
As far as Summer’s concerned, she’ll think this Adam baby bomb just proves Sally doesn’t belong with Nick at all.
Summer has never been a fan of the idea of Nick and Sally being an item, but she’ll be firmly against it following the pregnancy shocker.
At that point, Summer’s focus will become getting Nick away from Sally before she tangles him up in even more complications.
With that in mind, Y&R spoilers say Summer will turn to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) for help.
Like Summer, Nikki won’t be pleased over the baby developments either, but she may be glad Adam is the one saddled with the father title instead of Nick.
Once Summer fills her grandmother in, Nikki will wish they could end Nick’s relationship with Sally before things get out of hand.
A lightbulb will go off for Summer, who’ll decide she may have a plan to convince Nick to walk away.
The logical explanation is that scheming Summer will try to push Sally and Adam back together.
Summer might tell herself this breakup mission will work out for all parties involved if she can shove Sally back in Adam’s direction.
Regardless, Summer’s main goal will be to split Sally and Nick, so she’ll get some assistance from Nikki on her next steps.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will stand by Sally for now, but Summer and Nikki will certainly hope to change that.
