The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tara Locke’s (last played by Elizabeth Leiner) prison release could bring yet another challenge for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). It seems like all Summer and Kyle do lately is fight, so Y&R may decide to let Tara out at the worst possible time.
There are plenty of ways this storyline could go, but it’s easy to imagine the writers taking the love triangle route.
That’s especially true now that Kyle and Summer’s marriage is on the rocks.
What if Tara is released from prison and claims to be a changed woman?
It might be an act in hopes of scoring another chance with Kyle, but the point is Tara could act like she’s learned her lesson and is on a new path.
Of course, this could bring a situation similar to when Kyle forgave Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and let her back in his life.
Kyle might be wary at first, but he could slowly drop his guard and begin to trust Tara a bit more.
Summer might argue that Tara is a manipulative snake who’ll damage Harrison if she gets too close.
Kyle, on the other hand, may feel like it’s important to get along with Tara and share custody for the sake of their son.
Summer could easily start feeling like an outsider as Tara reclaims the mom role in Harrison’s life.
Tara could bond with Kyle and leave Summer feeling like her husband is slipping away, too.
This is the kind of thing that could be the final nail in Kyle and Summer’s marriage coffin.
However, it’s also possible Tara could get caught in another manipulative scheme – proving Summer was right to fear the worst.
There might still be hope for Summer and Kyle if she can help him see that he’s perhaps too trusting at times.
Kyle might get updates on Tara’s continued deviousness and realize he shouldn’t have been so stubborn when it came to listening to Summer.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tara has to be released sooner or later, so Kyle and Summer need to be prepared for terrible news and another threat to their marriage!
