The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, January 19 Recap – Devon’s Company Held Hostage - Victoria's Separation Anxiety

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 19, teases that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will reveal that she talked things over with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who still wants to move forward with the IPO.

Lily will admit they’re refusing to let Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) buy Hamilton-Winters back, so he’ll rant about them letting this get ugly.

However, Lily will insist that if they leave the companies joined and maximize the chances for a successful IPO, they can rebrand that entity as Chancellor Worldwide.

Once they go public and the dust settles, they can buy Devon out for a lucrative amount and let him create a new Hamilton-Winters.

Although Lily will consider this a win-win with no bloodshed, Devon won’t think it’s fair to hold his company hostage and force him to start from scratch.

Lily will point out that she’s trying to avoid court since that would definitely affect their relationship.

Devon will ask if Lily’s going to cut him out of her life if he doesn’t accept this offer, but Lily will argue that’s not what she’s saying.

Nevertheless, Lily will think this is a good opportunity for Devon and will push him to focus on creating something new instead of a lawsuit he might lose.

All Lily will ask is for Devon to think about this offer since whatever they do next will change their lives.

Lily will hope they can do something that’ll make Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) proud.

At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will wait for the pizza he’s picking up and invite Lily to join him at the bar.

Since Billy will point out that he still cares about Lily, he’ll encourage her to open up about what’s bothering her.

After Billy gets updates on the latest merger drama, he’ll assure Lily that she can rise to the challenge and that Devon will forgive in time.

Billy won’t want Lily doubting her leadership skills despite the setbacks she’s faced lately.

Once Lily’s alone on Thursday’s Y&R episode, she’ll seem pensive as she looks at a phone pic of herself with Devon and Neil.

At Crimson Lights, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will apologize to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) for causing a scene the other day when she fought with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).

Fortunately, Sharon will get that the end of a marriage is difficult and won’t pass judgment at all.

Soon after, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will show up with amazing news following their visit to Portland.

Delphine, the expectant mom they’ve been in touch with, decided she wants Tessa and Mariah to adopt her baby.

Although Mariah and Tessa will know that Delphine could still change her mind, they’ll be cautiously optimistic and will know they’re meant to be parents.

Abby will insist she’s happy for Tessa and Mariah, but Mariah will pick up on some sadness under the surface.

In a moment alone with Mariah on the patio, Abby will admit her marriage issues got worse, so she’s getting a divorce from Chance.

Mariah will hate to hear that, but she’ll insist that Abby will still have a family with Chance since they’re going to be great co-parents to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

Afterward, Mariah will reconvene with Tessa and Sharon for another conversation about the adoption.

Delphine had some tough questions during their visit, but Tessa and Mariah did their best to answer them and will be ready to focus on what comes next.

Sharon will wonder when the baby is due, so Mariah and Tessa will admit they could be moms by the end of February if all goes well.

After Devon texts Abby to come over, she’ll hear about Lily rejecting his Hamilton-Winters buyout and offering the chance to create another empire from scratch.

Abby will point out that Devon would make Lily happy if he went along with her plan, which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

Furthermore, Abby will suggest that creating something new sounds right up Devon’s alley.

Devon will struggle to walk away from the biggest professional achievement of his life, especially since he created Hamilton-Winters with Neil.

Abby won’t think Devon’s decision should be about the past.

It should be about the future since Neil will always be part of everything Devon does moving forward.

Devon will still battle concerns about creating something that might fail, but Abby will contend that it could soar instead.

No matter what choice Devon makes, Abby will take his hand and insist he’s not alone.

After Devon notices Abby took her rings off, she’ll confess she did it a few days ago and will add that she needs to face her new reality.

Devon will echo Abby’s words about not having to face it alone before they share a kiss.

At Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) apartment, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will plan to drop Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) off for his pizza night, but she’ll end up talking to Chelsea while the boys are in Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) bedroom.

Victoria will admit her first instinct was to say no when Chelsea asked if Johnny could come over.

However, Victoria ultimately knew Johnny would want to accept the pizza invitation, so she agreed.

Once Victoria says she’s still uncomfortable with this whole situation, Chelsea will assume Victoria means she’s uncomfortable with her.

Victoria will admit to being protective of Johnny and her role as his mother, so Chelsea will totally understand that.

After Chelsea apologizes for forcing the birth mom issue the way she did, she’ll insist Victoria is Johnny’s only mom.

Chelsea will assure Victoria that she has nothing to fear and will promise they’re on the same side.

When Billy arrives with the pizza, he’ll be taken aback to find Victoria is still there.

Chelsea will invite Victoria to stay and have dinner with the rest of them, so she’ll indeed stick around.

Connor will point out that Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) should come next time since she’s his cousin and Johnny’s sister.

After Connor calls it a family dinner, Victoria will excuse herself awkwardly to pick up Katie from ballet.

Chelsea will show Victoria to the door and try to make sure she’s all right, but Victoria will still seem uneasy as she steps out in the hall.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will continue to deal with some big changes in her life, so stay tuned to see what’s ahead on Y&R.
