The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will grow increasingly frustrated over the brakes Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) keeps pumping in their relationship.
Tucker has done everything in his power to prove he’s a changed man and convince Ashley that they truly belong together.
Although Tucker has made progress, Ashley still hasn’t said those three little words he so desperately longs to hear: “I love you.”
Naturally, Y&R fans get why Ashley would want to be careful with her heart.
Tucker has repeatedly found ways to let her down in the past, so Ashley’s reaction is reasonable.
Even so, Tucker feels like Ashley is testing him to the extreme or punishing him unnecessarily.
Despite all the grand gestures and bonding they’ve been doing over scheming, there’s still a sense of distance – like a final barrier that Tucker just can’t overcome.
That could lead to trouble now that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is going to be part of the equation.
Ashley was concerned about bringing Phyllis back to Genoa City since she’s such a wildcard, so there may be more to the story when it comes to her fears.
Tucker has proven that he likes challenging, sassy women, so maybe he’ll cheat with Phyllis at some point.
Phyllis doesn’t trust Tucker, but trust isn’t required for these two to hit the sheets!
It’s easy to imagine Tucker eventually snapping over Ashley’s refusal to reciprocate his love profession.
Ashley and Tucker could have a major fight, so maybe Tucker could sleep with Phyllis once he’s drunk and worried that Ash will never quite feel the same about him.
Of course, that would have to happen after Phyllis scores her freedom, but Tucker has every intention of making sure Phyllis indeed walks free in the end.
Phyllis and Tucker both have strong, sneaky sides – not to mention they’re both selfish in some ways.
This seems like a situation where Tucker and Phyllis could have far more in common than they realize.
Although the goal was to recruit Phyllis and get her help sending Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) over the edge, Phyllis’ homecoming could have far worse consequences – at least for Tucker’s impending marriage.
Will this lead to Tucker cheating with Phyllis and showing Ashley that he’ll never really change?
Will Tucker betray his fiancée with Phyllis due to Ashley’s indefinite roadblock?
