The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will inevitably feel alone with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) shutting him out and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) pushing him away.
Tucker is incredibly manipulative and tends to self-sabotage, but he truly wanted to reconnect with his loved ones.
That doesn’t mean Tucker’s actions were justified since he was juggling schemes and betraying people he claimed to care about.
However, it does mean there’s still hope for Tucker to recapture the bonds he’s lost and score another chance.
Of course, we have to consider how Y&R writers might stir up some sympathy for Tucker now that he’s screwed up so spectacularly.
Another near-death experience might be just what Tucker needs! Tucker could potentially be on the verge of an accident that will change his life.
Tucker previously claimed to have had a car crash while speed-racing in Monte Carlo. That led to Tucker’s lengthy hospital recovery after nearly dying.
Since Tucker insisted that ordeal changed him for the better, the show might go for a similar scenario as part of a redemption plot.
Ashley thinks she can walk away from Tucker, but would she have a change of heart if she knew she might lose him forever?
Tucker’s hospital crisis is the kind of thing that could bring Ashley rushing home from Paris with a new perspective.
Maybe the thought of Tucker facing a grim fate could force Ashley to reevaluate her feelings for him and how deep they run.
Likewise, Devon might soften when faced with the prospect of losing his biological father.
Since Devon already had to say a final goodbye to Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), he surely won’t want to say goodbye to Tucker, too.
Whether Tucker lands in another car wreck or faces some other type of terrifying accident, a new near-death experience might be the way to go.
Y&R writers could almost kill Tucker to convince Ashley and Devon to make some updates to their attitudes.
