The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, August 8, reveal that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will keep the promise she made to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Abby can’t guarantee that she’ll be able to establish peace among the Abbott siblings, but she’ll at least try!
Of course, Abby will be facing quite a challenge since Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has become so fed up with Ashley and all the drama she’s causing.
Jack just wants to enjoy life as a happy newlywed, but Ashley constantly berates Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and tries to undermine her brother in business.
Since Diane is such a huge part of the feud, Abby will seek her out on Tuesday’s Y&R episode. Diane will become a target, but it doesn’t seem like Abby will have nefarious intentions.
Instead, Abby may think Diane stands the best chance of getting through to Jack. Perhaps Abby will ask Diane to become her ally and help Jack see that Ashley’s ready to stop all the fighting.
Naturally, Diane will be suspicious of Ashley’s change of heart. After Abby surprises Jack’s wife by seeking assistance, Diane may voice her suspicions about this being another one of Ashley’s tricks.
Y&R fans know Ashley indeed has an agenda that she’s deceiving Abby about.
Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) are hoping to use Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) against Jabot, but Jack and Diane recruited him first!
Now it’s just a matter of whether Billy will stay loyal to Jack once Tucker and Ashley offer benefits to bring him to their corner.
Regardless, Abby will be on a mission to get Jack to Ashley and Tucker’s wedding.
Even if Jack can’t genuinely let go of his anger, Abby will hope he can put it aside with Diane’s help.
In the meantime, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will push for a private meeting with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), who’ll get updates on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) blackmailing her.
Audra will insist that the scandal she helped Tucker hide will be exposed unless she helps Adam score Newman Media for his merger.
Although Audra will want to keep Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in the dark on the blackmail, Nate will struggle with that idea.
Things will get even more complicated when Audra needs Victoria as part of the plan.
Audra will task Nate with convincing Victoria to get on board with Adam’s Newman Media goal. That way, Victoria can be the one to ultimately persuade Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate will listen to Audra’s plea and decide whether he’ll move forward with her plot, so stay tuned for news on all the complications.
