The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 21, teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will talk to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) over the phone about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) finding out how much a baby will change their lives soon.
During that phone conversation, Sharon will peek in at Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) from the patio.
A nervous Sally will admit she wants to sit there without knowing the paternity results just a little longer.
When Sharon interrupts, she’ll mention that she just heard from Tessa and Mariah.
Sharon will pass along the news about Delphine going into labor, so she’ll be excited since Mariah and Tessa have wanted to be moms for so long.
Soon after, Nick will take Sally back to her suite and encourage her to look at the paternity test results.
Sally will log in her account using the password “future” before she has a fantasy of what would happen if Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) turned out to be the father.
Sally will read that there’s a zero percent chance of Nick being the bio dad, so she’ll call Adam away from his meeting with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to offer updates.
Once Adam arrives in this fantasy, Sally will reveal that she’s pregnant with his baby.
Nick’s presence will irritate Adam, who’ll hope Sally’s willing to speak with him alone.
After Sally suggests getting some air, Adam will head to the park with her.
That’ll lead to a sweet conversation where Adam talks about what he hopes their daughter or son will be like.
Adam will also offer to build a treehouse for their child, so Sally will be reminded of how Adam was when they first got together.
Once Adam says he’ll always be right there for her, he’ll ask Sally to marry him.
On Tuesday’s Y&R episode, the fantasy will continue as Sally runs away from Adam and ends up at Society.
Victor will watch and listen as Adam talks about being permanently tied through this child.
Although Adam will feel like it’s destiny for them to build a family together, Sally will get overwhelmed and end up running away once again.
Back at Crimson Lights, Adam will find Sally in Nick’s arms.
Nick will clarify that the paternity doesn’t change anything for him and will add that he loves Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) just as much as his other kids.
Adam will snap that when he allowed Nick to raise Christian, he was at a different point in his life.
After Adam warns that things will be different with this baby, he’ll refuse to step aside.
Nick will argue that nobody is asking Adam to do that, but he also won’t allow his brother to use this baby to try to get back with Sally.
Once Nick confirms they’re still together, Adam will start ranting about how Nick and Victor will take Sally’s child away from her.
Adam will insist Nick took the woman he loves and a job at Newman that he didn’t even want.
Nick may have Christian, but Adam will refuse to let him take this baby.
After Adam says Sally can stay with Nick, he’ll warn that she will NOT take his child!
Nick will punch Adam before Sally’s fantasy ends and she rewinds back to before she found out the DNA results.
In Sally’s next fantasy, she’ll imagine that there’s a 99.9 percent possibility that Nick is the father.
Nick will think this calls for a celebratory lunch, so he’ll take Sally to Society.
Sally will want to go somewhere else after spotting Adam and Victor, but Nick will think they should rip the bandage off and spill their news now.
Once Sally decides Nick is right, she’ll interrupt Adam’s discussion to drop the baby bomb.
Adam will accuse Nick of making sure his hold on Sally lasts a lifetime and will think Sally’s making a mistake.
After Adam points out how worried Sally’s been lately, she’ll blame Adam for that since she feared his reaction.
Adam will eventually tell Victor congrats on becoming a grandfather again before assuring Sally she’s going to be a wonderful mother.
Once Adam exits, Victor will insist Nick is indeed making a mistake, but Nick won’t see it that way since he gets to be a father again.
Victor will hear about the paternity test results confirming Nick as the bio dad, so he’ll act like Sally came to Genoa City with nothing and now has the big prize – the eldest Newman boy.
However, Nick will warn Victor to respect Sally and get on board or else he’ll never know this child.
Afterward, Nick will take Sally to the coffeehouse so they can celebrate with something sweet, so Nick will bring Sharon up to speed on his bio dad status.
While Sally’s off telling her sister over the phone, Sharon will ask how Nick really feels.
That’ll lead to Sharon wondering if Nick loves Sally, so he’ll admit it’s not love exactly. Even so, Nick won’t think that matters.
Sharon will argue that “of course it does,” but Nick will point out that Sally understands they’re in this together whether they’re a couple or not.
Nick will confess they probably don’t have what it takes to last, but he won’t think Sally is expecting a fairytale.
Sally will interrupt looking concerned, so Nick will urge her to confirm that they know where they stand and all that matters is the baby.
Once Sally’s second fantasy ends, she’ll rewind to before she read the paternity results again.
Sally will hint to Nick about all the possibilities swirling in her mind, but he’ll reassure her that this baby will be loved and accepted no matter what.
Finally, Sally will turn her attention back to the paternity results she needs to log in for.
That’ll leave Sally preparing to enter “future” as the password – for real this time!
The Young and the Restless say Sally’s about to find out the true father of her baby, so stay tuned to Y&R.
