The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, September 5, reveal that some excitement’s ahead in Genoa City, but we should talk about the encore airing on Labor Day first. There’ll be a repeat on Monday, September 4, but we can look ahead and tell you what’s coming up on Tuesday’s show.
For starters, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will find herself bonding with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) again. These exes haven’t talked much lately, so this will be Billy and Lily’s chance to fix that.
Although Lily and Billy ended their relationship amicably, it’s always a little awkward to make the transition from lovers to friends.
However, Billy and Lily will focus on reconnecting and may find they’re more comfortable now that some time has passed since their breakup.
Of course, it’s possible this could lead to some familiar romantic feelings rising up for Lily and Billy, especially considering what’ll be going on with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).
At the jazz lounge, Daniel will come clean to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) about how much having Heather back in GC has affected him. Phyllis will get Daniel to talk about his true feelings for Heather, who’ll be listening in on the conversation just around the corner.
Once Heather joins them, Phyllis will take this opportunity to meddle. It’s not a good idea since Phyllis is already on thin ice with Daniel, but she’ll try to push him toward a reunion with Heather anyway.
That’ll lead to a setback when it comes to Phyllis’ goal of making amends and finding a redemptive path, but her heart will be in the right place since she truly wants Daniel to be happy.
Phyllis will apparently think Daniel would be better off repairing his romance with Heather than sticking with Lily, so she’ll cause some drama as a result.
Meanwhile, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Christel Khalil) will come to Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) rescue once more.
Y&R fans know Devon was already a lifesaver when he showed up at the tack house with support during Aria Porter-Copeland’s (Maddie and Millie Ingle) crisis.
Now Devon will meet with Mariah and once again help her when she needs him most. Mariah is about to make a surprising move, so Devon will help guide her down the road that’s right for her.
It’s possible this will have something to do with Aria’s treatment, but it seems like Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) would be present for that discussion.
Instead, this might involve Mariah’s career since things are so up in the air with Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) Kirsten Incorporated plans. Devon might offer Mariah a job at Chancellor-Winters instead, especially since she’s worked for him before.
