The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may take matters into his own hands when it comes to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) bun in the oven. Victor is the kind of character who knows all – and Y&R has already established that he’s got a dossier on Sally.
Since Victor doesn’t like the fact that Sally and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are dating, he’s probably still monitoring her activities.
If Sally has a paternity test done at the hospital, Victor will likely get updates on that.
There are surely plenty of people on staff who are paid to report anything of interest to Victor.
If Victor secretly finds out Sally is pregnant and that she’s uncertain of who the father is, he may decide for her!
It’s easy to imagine Victor bribing or threatening the lab tech into giving the result he wants.
Nick is the golden boy and tends to be the less problematic of the two brothers. Victor won’t want something as permanent as a child connecting Nick and Sally indefinitely.
Plus, Victor knows that Sally is driving the conflict between Nick and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Perhaps Victor will determine that he’d rather see Sally end up with Adam – that way, Nick will move on and peace will be restored.
The quickest way to make sure all that happens is for Adam to be the father of Sally’s baby.
Victor might warn the lab tech that no matter what the real outcome of the paternity test is, Adam should look like the bio dad.
It appears Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) may help Sally score a DNA sample from Nick, so let’s consider how Victor would respond to that.
Victor might inform the lab tech that the results are going to be a negative match for Nick regardless – ensuring that Sally will think Adam is the “baby daddy.”
Of course, that would still open the door for Adam to truly be the father in the end.
It’d be a smart way to add to the drama while keeping the real paternity a mystery to the audience for a while.
It would also fit with Adam and Nick’s biggest complaint when it comes to Victor.
Nick and Adam don’t like how Victor manipulates every aspect of their lives, so he could cause major trouble if a shady move like this gets exposed.
