The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers say that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) are playing with fire, so they’re bound to get burned eventually. Y&R fans know Audra fought hard for an alliance with Nate since she feels like their goals align perfectly.
Nate wants to rise to the top at Newman Enterprises, which means taking over Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) spot or even Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) spot down the road.
If Nate can worm his way into the COO position, he’ll consider that a positive step forward.
However, Nate would really like to be running the company alongside Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in the co-CEO seat.
That’d leave the Newman Media throne empty and waiting for Audra, but there may be a major flaw in her plan with Nate.
We can’t help but notice how risky Audra and Nate’s partnership is under the circumstances.
Even putting aside the fact that Nate and Audra are scheming for promotions, Nate is a serial cheater.
It’s probably not a good idea for Nate to be working so closely with another woman like this.
How’s it going to look if Victoria spies Nate sneaking in Audra’s GCAC suite since they keep having secret meetings in such a scandalous setting?
Then again, someone like Nick might spy Nate entering Audra’s room instead.
After all, something similar went down when Nick realized Nate and Victoria were upstairs together at The Grand Phoenix.
That was also a case of misunderstanding the situation since Nate went up there to turn Victoria down – at least at that point in the story.
Nate didn’t surrender to full-blown passion until later, but there’s the potential for confusion here, too.
Victoria might get updates on Nate’s growing connection to Audra and jump to the wrong conclusion.
What happens if Victoria starts to believe Nate is already having an affair with yet another woman and fumes over the news?
Nate and Victoria will achieve official couple status during the week of June 5-9, so that’ll raise the stakes.
It could put Victoria on high alert if she realizes Audra and Nate seem too close for comfort.
Even if Nate and Audra’s partnership stays focused on business, it could stir up some unanticipated questions about the nature of their bond.
Accusations could fly and leave Nate scrambling to insist it’s not what it looks like – even if the truth isn’t much better!
