The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could go too far in his quest to manipulate Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Y&R fans know Victor recently showed up at Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) place and expressed concern about her issues.
It’s clear that Victor’s worried about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) despite Chelsea’s attempts to downplay everything. Adam flipped out when he realized Victor had paid Chelsea a visit and declared her off-limits.
In the aftermath, Adam even went as far as warning Victor to stop trying to control his family, but that’s just not something Victor is capable of doing. Victor is always going to interfere in the lives of his children and grandchildren since that’s just what he does!
With that in mind, Chelsea would be wise to listen to Adam and not become too trusting. Although Chelsea contemplated telling Victor the truth about her suicide attempt, that could be a bad idea.
Victor might determine that Chelsea is still unstable and try to use what happened against her. Since Victor mentioned the possibility of Connor staying with his grandparents at the ranch while Chelsea took a break, he might try to force that situation legally.
Victor could turn this into a custody battle for Connor and leave Adam fuming, especially since this could cause a difficult setback for Chelsea.
Of course, Victor is all about control, so he might be willing to relent if Adam returns to the Newman fold. Threatening a Connor custody fight could be exactly what Victor needs to keep Adam in line.
Victor wants Adam to experience an epic failure as part of his plot to bring him back to Newman Enterprises. Since Victor has sabotage plans for his son, that says a lot about how far he’ll go to manipulate him.
Victor may also be willing to go to war over Connor and could make some strategy updates as a result.
