The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 23, reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will run into Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at the athletic club, where she’ll admit she thinks it’s time for a divorce.
However, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will try to open Kyle’s mind and heart to the idea of a “Skyle” reunion. Once Nick plays up the happy family angle, he’ll wonder if this can really be the end of one of the most solid couples he’s ever seen.
After Nick warns his son-in-law not to give up on his marriage to Summer, Kyle will seem torn. It looks like a sweet bonding moment with Summer and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) will also leave Kyle conflicted.
Later, Kyle will pay Summer a late-night visit in her suite as they try to nail down whether divorce is really the way to go.
While Summer and Kyle make a choice about their future, Nick and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will try to get on the same page about their own. Sally needed time to mull over Nick’s offer to move in with him, but will she finally decide she’s ready to take that step?
Regardless, it sounds like Sally will make a big decision about what’s next with Nick, so Y&R fans will be eager to hear their thoughts on a new chapter together.
In the park, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be surprised when a thunderstorm brings some loud booms out of the blue.
Since Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) will sleep peacefully through all the noise, it’ll leave Tessa and Mariah quite concerned about her hearing.
Once Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) gets updates on Mariah and Tessa’s fears, she’ll do her best to calm them down. It’s not unusual for some babies to sleep deeply and not awaken when a commotion happens.
Even so, Tessa and Mariah will remain on edge, especially since Aria hasn’t been responsive to her name being called – which is also unusual for her age.
In the end, Sharon will offer a solution by suggesting that Mariah and Tessa should get Aria’s hearing tested. It won’t be long until Tessa and Mariah make an appointment, which may bring some difficult news later on.
