The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 1, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will hear about Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) return to Genoa City, so he won’t be happy about Jeremy walking free and coming right back to town.
Kyle will also be nervous about the package Jeremy sent, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will insist the Abbott house is secure.
Even so, Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will feel the need to get out of GC for a while.
Although Kyle won’t like the idea of Diane and Jack running again, they’ll insist they’re going to celebrate their reunion and figure out how to handle things.
Jack and Diane will also hope that Jeremy might get bored and leave while they’re on their romantic getaway.
At the Abbott house, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will show up and demand a conversation with Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) since she’ll really want to fix their relationship.
Phyllis won’t see what’s so wrong about trying to protect her children, so Summer will insist there’s always an excuse.
After Summer pushes Phyllis to admit she screwed up, Phyllis will rant about her daughter making allowances for Diane and not her.
Once Phyllis points out that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) flew to LA to get dirt on Diane, she’ll point out that Summer isn’t in her face about it.
Phyllis will think it’s because she stands up for what she believes in – and she’ll warn that she’s never going to change.
After Phyllis talks about being exhausted, she’ll suggest maybe she’s the one who’s had enough.
Summer will reflect on watching Phyllis’ failed attempts to evolve and will feel like her mother constantly lets her down.
At this point, Summer will feel the need to protect herself from more hurt and disappointment, so she’ll show Phyllis the door.
Meanwhile, Kyle will bump into Jeremy at Society, so he’ll warn Stark to stay away from his family and stop sending Diane tokens of his obsession.
Jeremy will think that sounds like a threat, but Kyle will call it a promise and insist Diane left town along with Jack.
Kyle will urge Jeremy to leave Genoa City and never look back, but Jeremy will act like this might be the perfect new place to call home.
After Jeremy hints about vacations not lasting forever, he’ll stroll off and leave Kyle unsettled.
Later, Phyllis will head to Society’s bar and order a couple shots of vodka as Jeremy smirks at her nearby.
At the cabin, Jack will encourage Diane to shut out Jeremy and the rest of the world, so they’ll drink Champagne and make love.
However, Diane will ultimately suggest they have to be realistic when it comes to Jeremy since they can’t hide forever.
When Jack says they have to get Jeremy out of their lives for good, Diane will make a shocking suggestion.
“You know, if I thought we could get away with murder, that would be my number one option. That’s how much I hate him,” Diane will declare.
Jack will get a bit more serious as he warns that’s definitely not an option, but he’ll assure Diane that they’ll find a solution together.
At Newman Enterprises, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will arrive after being summoned by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who’ll share the theory that Ashley bought up all Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) debt.
Although Ashley will initially act like the idea’s preposterous, she’ll wonder what Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would do about it if she did buy up the debt.
Victoria will insist they could make Ashley a very lucrative offer, so Victor will back her up.
After Victor says Ashley has had her fun and made Tucker sweat, he’ll add that it’s time to make a deal.
Ashley will insist that whatever Tucker wants to do with his company is his business, so she’ll urge Victoria and Victor to leave her out of it.
Once Ashley is gone, Victoria will speculate that Nikki was right – that this isn’t about power over Tucker.
Since there was a protectiveness in Ashley’s eyes, Victoria will think Ashley wants to help Tucker in some way and is perhaps hoping he’ll change.
At Crimson Lights, Tucker will make a life-changing proposal as he offers to sell McCall Unlimited to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Although Tucker will admit the company is failing in some areas, he’ll think Devon is the right person to take over.
After Tucker offers the “friends and family price,” Devon will ask if Tucker expects him to welcome him back into his life following the sale.
Tucker will insist he has no expectations and will urge Devon to use this as a safety net since winning the lawsuit is a long shot.
Devon will feel like Tucker is betting on him to lose, but Tucker will think it’d be good to have McCall Unlimited in his back pocket.
If Devon wins, then he’ll just have a bigger and better empire to leap-frog over Chancellor-Winters.
When Devon says the 30 minutes he gave Tucker are up, Tucker will hope that his son will at least think about his offer.
Once Devon updates Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) on the meeting later, she’ll feel like Tucker’s offer is worth considering as a great backup plan.
Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Tucker will give Ashley news on his Devon meeting as well.
That’ll lead to Tucker admitting that although Devon didn’t accept the offer, he didn’t reject it either.
Tucker will wonder what Ashley plans to do with him if he fails, so she’ll hint about having a couple ideas.
When Tucker admits he’s starting to enjoy this intoxicating game between them, he’ll think Ashley feels it too.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker and Ashley could be headed back into sizzling territory, so stay tuned to Y&R.
