The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) true identity will turn Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) world upside down. After Claire brings Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) into the lake house living room and hints about the family reunion on November 27, she’ll call Victoria “Mother.”
The Newmans might want a DNA test for official confirmation, but it certainly seems like a done deal that Claire is Victoria and Cole’s long-lost daughter.
Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is apparently responsible for stealing Claire as a baby and raising her far away from all the selfishness of the Newman clan.
Jordan presumably felt an obligation to look after her sister’s grandchild, especially after the way the Newmans treated Eve Howard (Margaret Mason).
It looks like Jordan perhaps paid off the right people and made sure a deceased baby was swapped in – that way, Victoria and Cole would think they lost their daughter and move on with their lives.
Now that we know Victoria is Claire’s mom, we have to start thinking about the drama of that revelation and how it could affect the family they share.
Will Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) return for this storyline at some point?
Many Y&R fans are already calling for Reed’s comeback since he now has a sister on canvas that he’s never met.
Of course, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) are Claire’s siblings as well, but Victoria will certainly want to be cautious about exposing them to Claire after this whole ordeal.
Reed is older and more equipped to deal with a sibling shocker like this, so he might insist on coming home and supporting his mom.
Naturally, Reed might have a chance to meet Claire and pick a side when it comes to whether she can be redeemed.
Part of Reed may want nothing to do with Claire, but another part of him may be sympathetic to the brainwashing that Jordan has essentially forced her to endure.
Reed may also sense that Victoria wants a relationship with Claire, so he might step up to try and facilitate it.
At the same time, Reed might put Claire on notice and make it clear that if she ever hurts Victoria again, she’ll answer to him!
There’d be some great beats to play with Reed back in the mix, so maybe they can get Tristan Lake Leabu to reprise his role or bring on a recast.
Whatever the case, Claire will have to overcome some legal drama before any family bonding can happen, so there’s a long road ahead!
