The Young and the Restless Update: Monday, July 17 – Father-Son Feud Erupts, Backroom Passion and Frenemy’s Warning

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, July 17, indicates that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will agree that their bond goes much further than physical attraction. After Nate describes the kind of life he wants to live with Victoria by his side in all things, she’ll approve of his vision.

At the jazz lounge on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will push Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to back off Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and bail on this merger proposition.

Since Nick will be so hateful about it, Adam will act like there’s no point in trying to be civil anymore.

Nick couldn’t even stick to tolerating his brother after Adam donated a kidney to save Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster)!

After Nick agrees trying for peace is pointless, he’ll make it clear that he’s not going to work with Adam at McCall Unlimited – which will now be called Adustus International – like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wants.

However, Victor will have other ideas when he calls an urgent meeting at the ranch, where he’ll announce that he’s given his children too much power and freedom.

That only led to conflict, so Victor will take charge of the situation and tell his kids how it’s going to be.

Nate will also be at this meeting and will get orders along with Victoria, Nick and Adam.

Once Victor berates all of them, he’ll warn that Nick’s going to start working with Adam at Adustus tomorrow and will help make it a worthwhile company.

Nate will stay in the COO spot while that’s happening – and once Adustus is built back up, it’ll be folded into Newman Enterprises as a subsidiary like Victor wanted in the first place.

When Adam protests, Victor will invite him to leave if he doesn’t like the new arrangement. Adam will indeed walk out while the others relent on Victor’s decisions.

Nick will feel like Adam’s going to have a change of heart, but he’ll also worry about his brother’s problematic behavior. Victor will assure Nick that he’ll be done with Adam if he can’t fall in line like the rest of his kids.

Meanwhile, Victoria will pour some drinks back in her office and share a toast with Nate since this outcome is what she was hoping for.

With Adam humiliated and forced to obey orders or stay out of the way, Victoria will be pleased with how things turned out.

At the athletic club, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will gloat to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about how happy he is.

Audra will think Tucker seems drunk since he’s rambling, so he’ll hint that maybe that’s true.

Tucker won’t divulge too much when it comes to why his life is so amazing right now and won’t care if Audra believes him or not.

After Audra hints about her own promising future, Tucker will spot a text from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and basically tell her to lower her expectations.

Since Tucker will feel confident Kyle’s going to let Audra down, he’ll bet her a trip to Vegas that’ll happen. Audra will skip the bet and make plans to meet with Kyle in her suite for some sizzling activities.

At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will show up at closing time with updates on Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) arrest, so Sharon will gladly fix him some coffee despite the late hour.

After Sharon shares news about her plans for Kirsten Incorporated and how she’ll potentially be merging her company with Adam’s, things will take a passionate turn.

Sharon will kiss Chance before she locks up and sleeps with him in her office.

As Chance and Sharon snuggle on the couch, they’ll hear someone knocking persistently on the front door of the coffeehouse.

Sharon will notice she’s got a couple of missed calls from Adam and will assume he’s in crisis.

Once Sharon puts her clothes back on and lets Adam inside, he’ll fill her in on the reason he walked away from Adustus and reveal why the merger can’t happen now.

Although Adam will be done with Victor and his family, he’ll still offer to team up with Sharon on his own and help her rebuild Kirsten Incorporated.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam’s emotions will be all over the place thanks to Victor changing the rules, so stay tuned!
