The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 26, reveal that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will admit she screwed up spectacularly. When Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) catches up with Diane at Society, she’ll spill how she just wanted to help Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) fix things with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Diane will confess to telling a white lie about Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) crying himself to sleep and blaming himself for his parents being upset.
Since Kyle wasn’t sold on it, Diane eventually had to admit she concocted the story to speed his reunion with Summer along.
Kyle will suspect Summer was in on Diane’s little setup, so she’ll admit she was once they’re fighting at home.
However, Summer will clarify that she didn’t know exactly what Diane was going to do.
Although Summer wasn’t part of the Harrison deception, she indeed sought Diane’s assistance to repair the damage in her marriage.
Kyle will end up acting like what Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did was despicable and that Diane would never go that far.
Summer will disagree, so Kyle will think resentment was a motive for keeping quiet just as much as protecting Phyllis was.
After Kyle suggests taking some real time apart, Summer will ask if he means a formal separation.
Kyle will confirm that’s what he has in mind, so there’ll be more bickering as he forces Summer to accept this.
Once Jack scolds Diane for lying to Kyle, he’ll stop her from holding herself responsible for Phyllis’ chain reaction.
Diane and Jack will try to stop Kyle from kicking Summer out later, but he’ll flee to the jazz lounge for a drink.
Y&R spoilers say that’s where Kyle will cross paths with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who’ll notice he’s once again looking down in the dumps.
Kyle will offer to purchase a drink for Audra and will admit he wants to pretend all the drama he’s been facing doesn’t exist.
Audra will be on board with that plan, so she’ll get flirty with Kyle and down some booze with him, too.
As for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), she’ll annoy Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) since everything will be “Diane this” and “Diane that.”
Tucker will suggest Ashley should let Diane crash and burn to prove to Jack who she really is.
Ashley will feel like she has to protect her brother and her family business, but Tucker will be more interested in building their own empire.
After Tucker and Ashley discuss plans for that empire in bed, Ashley will seem tempted by his pitch and will drink to new beginnings with him.
At Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) penthouse, they’ll be caught off guard by Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) arrival.
Chance will drop Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) off early since the nanny got sick and threw off his plans.
There’ll be a case that Chance is needed for, so Devon and Abby will assure him that it’s fine.
Chance will also mention that Dominic gets fussy every time he has to change from house to house.
It’s becoming too hard on Dom, so Chance will suggest he could move out of the Chancellor mansion.
Once Chance pushes Devon and Abby to live at the mansion with Dominic full-time, he’ll suggest he could still visit frequently and keep an apartment near the GCPD.
Chance will still want to spend as much time with Dominic as possible and won’t want to change the fact that they share custody.
It’s just that this would make things easier on Dominic, so Abby and Devon will agree to think about it.
While Devon and Abby discuss their potential move to the Chancellor manse, Chance will see Summer looking sad on the coffeehouse patio.
Since Summer will seem like she could use someone to lean on, Chance will decide to join her.
