The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, October 9, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will lead an emotional Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) through their wedding vows as they renew them in front of their guests.
There’ll be plenty of mingling and well wishes afterward along with some special toasts.
Jack will seem concerned when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gets up to speak, but she’ll actually be quite kind to the happy newlyweds.
That said, Nikki will privately deliver a warning to Diane and make it clear that there’ll be a price to pay if she hurts Jack.
Diane will accept that Jack has protective people looking out for him and won’t seem offended.
As for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll have a pleasant conversation with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) regarding Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) and Kyle’s role as the officiant.
Summer and Kyle will also compliment each other’s appearance at the party, but Kyle will once again clarify to Diane and Jack that he’s strictly co-parenting with Summer now.
At one point, Summer will strike up a conversation with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about his new job as the chief of police and try to put to rest any doubts.
Since Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will be at the wedding reception with Nikki, Y&R spoilers say she’ll get the scoop on everyone around her.
Claire will assume Chance and Summer are dating, but Nikki will note that Summer’s getting a divorce from Kyle – though she’ll hold out hope that they might reconcile before that’s finalized.
When Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) asks Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) how things are going with Chance, Sharon will simply talk about how much fun they’re having in their romance.
Sharon will also make a comment about how fun this is when she interrupts Chance and Summer’s laughter-filled conversation, but things will actually seem uncomfortable instead.
Despite Mamie Johnson’s (Veronica Redd) attempts to bring her family together, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will clash over Mamie’s desire to see Nate return to Chancellor-Winters.
Nate will insist he plans to stay put at Newman Enterprises and will note that Mamie doesn’t have the authority to hire him anyway.
At Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) suite, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will march in and push for answers about his message regarding Kyle.
Audra won’t get why Tucker wants her to restart her romance with Kyle, but he’ll act like Kyle could be useful and will push her to follow her bliss.
Tucker will play up how they’re intertwined when it comes to the blackmail material and will think Audra needs him since her Newman Media job could be hanging by a thread.
After Tucker reminds Audra that she could land on the Jabot throne if they’re successful, he’ll reveal that he expects her to attend Jack and Diane’s wedding reception.
Audra will have her doubts about being able to get past security, but Tucker will push her to get dressed up and go woo Kyle at the party.
Later, Jack will seem concerned over some updates from security, so he’ll step into the living room along with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Tucker will be there in a suit and will offer up a wrapped box as a wedding present.
Jack will turn the gift down and push Tucker to get lost, but Tucker will act like he’s ready to make amends.
If that’s true, Billy will urge Tucker to admit he tried to set him up for embezzlement.
Tucker will claim to know nothing about that, so Billy will agree with Jack about Tucker needing to leave.
As Jack tries to kick Tucker out, Devon and Abby will watch all the hostility.
Mamie will also appear around the corner, so Devon will catch Tucker locking eyes with her and look curious.
Back with Audra, she’ll sneak in the wedding reception while security is busy dealing with Tucker.
Audra will see Kyle across the party, but Nikki will stop her before she has a chance to talk to him.
Nikki will be surprised that Audra would show up at this gathering, but Audra will fib that Kyle invited her and act like it’s proving difficult for them to stay away from each other.
In fact, Audra will confess that she enjoys being with Kyle and will warn Nikki that they’re going to have an issue if she can’t get on board.
