The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of December 25-29 reveals that things are about to heat up, but there’ll be a preemption first. NFL football coverage will air instead of Y&R on Monday, December 25, so the drama in GC will have to wait until Tuesday, December 26.
Viewers will recall that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) called drunk Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to pressure her into a swap.
Now that Jordan has stolen Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) from the psych ward, she’s got some leverage.
Nikki certainly has her fair share of issues with Claire over what she did, but that’s still her granddaughter.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would be beyond distraught if she lost Claire for a second time.
As a result, Jordan will be able to lure Nikki to a shabby cabin somewhere for a major confrontation – one that leaves Nikki’s life at stake since she’ll be facing Jordan’s gun.
Will Nikki gain the upper hand with someone’s help? Could Claire come through for Nikki when it counts or will someone like Victoria, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) or Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) step up instead?
The Newmans will all speculate on Nikki’s whereabouts, so Victor will consider the possibility that she’s off on a drunken bender.
However, a new clue could point the Newman clan in the right direction eventually.
Next, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will force Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to face a harsh reality.
Tucker may be holding out hope that he can fix their broken bond, but Devon may insist it’s never going to happen.
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll plant a kiss on Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and urge him to embrace the chemistry she believes they’re both feeling.
Nevertheless, Danny may reject Phyllis since he’s obviously more into Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell).
Christine and Danny will make a significant choice regarding their future, so they may go all in on their reunion.
That’ll leave Tucker and Phyllis feeling blue around the same time, so could that lead to trouble?
Perhaps Phyllis and Tucker could both drown their sorrows before landing in bed together.
Meanwhile, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will wrestle with her own feelings for Tucker, so could she seek him out?
It would certainly give Ashley a shock if she found Phyllis scantily clad in Tucker’s suite!
Other Y&R spoilers say Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will get some important updates from someone familiar on Wednesday, December 27.
Since Brad Sanders is set to reprise the role of Clarence the same day, he may have some huge news for Audra.
Elsewhere, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will renew their vows as the clock strikes midnight, so they’ll definitely set themselves up for a happy new year.
Finally, fans can expect another sports-related preemption on Friday, December 29, but some areas will get an encore episode from 2003 instead.
