The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 14-18 reveals that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will refuse to let anything or anyone spoil his big day.
Since Tucker will be thrilled over his wedding to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), he’ll put his concerns about Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) aside and ignore Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) attempts to act like this marriage is a sham.
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will get honest with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) about how much he disapproves of Ashley and Tucker’s nuptials.
“The idea of my sister exchanging vows with that bastard makes me sick to my stomach,” Jack admits in Y&R’s weekly preview video.
However, Jack also hints at one more card up his sleeve in the promo. That’ll turn out to be a generous wedding gift, which Jack will hand over once the wedding is completed.
Ashley will assume there’s a catch when Jack delivers paperwork that signs over My Beauty’s assets, but Jack will act like he’s genuinely trying to wish her well and put their hostility behind them.
Of course, there really will be a catch since Jack doesn’t trust Ashley – and he’ll trust her even less after she makes Tucker her husband.
After the wedding reception, Jack and Diane will do some conspiring.
Traci will come along and catch them, so she’ll shed her sweet persona for a moment and put the schemers on full blast.
“What are you two up to?! You are about to rip this family apart again!” Traci declares in Y&R’s weekly preview video.
It’s clear that Traci will be riled up over Jack pretending he’s going to keep this truce when he’s still plotting behind Ashley’s back.
That news certainly won’t go over well with Traci, who just wants her family back on good terms.
Traci will be ashamed of Jack’s behavior and may argue that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) would be, too.
There’ll be plenty more sibling drama as Traci urges Jack to drop this feud once and for all.
Can Ashley and Jack find a path to actual peace? That’ll require learning to trust each other again, so stay tuned for updates on whether Jack and Ashley can truly do that.
