Tonight’s WCTH episode begins with Bill getting annoyed that the article about the springs is attracting newcomers to the town. At the saloon, Bill tells Lucas that the new people need to learn the rules, they are parking in front. The woman who parked that way is Mrs. St. John, she travelled all the way from California with her son, Jamie.
Lucas tells Bill that tourists are good for business, Mike agrees.
Elizabeth stops by to see Rosemary, she brings her muffins. Lee is home, he is clearing one of the rooms upstairs to make room for the nursery.
Rosemary says as she gets closer to giving birth she is more eager and nervous. Rosemary brings up the baby shower, she made a list of suggested activities that might be fun, guaranteed fun. Elizabeth leaves abruptly, she says she will be late for school. Lee brings down a trunk, she tells him out with the past, she only wants to think about the baby.
At school, Elizabeth is teaching science, Angela asks why do the planets move around the sun. Allie wants to know the hot springs in their town were formed. Elizabeth decides to break the students into teams to do research on the questions.
Nathan is waiting outside Faith’s office, he wants to know if she needs an escort. She tells him that she is sure there will be no more incidents on the road, she can handle it herself. But, if he is concerned, she will find someone else to tag along with her, she knows his time is valuable.
Elizabeth stops by to see Lucas, he tells her that Gustave has outdone himself with a cake he gives her.
Elizabeth meets with the other women, she tells them that Rosemary still thinks the baby shower is next week. Fiona is going to keep Rosemary busy at the salon while they get everything ready. Minnie has planned the food. Rosemary walks in, Elizabeth tells her that she has a surprise for her, she is going to the salon to get pampered.
Jerome is at a table, Lucas asked to take a seat, he wants to talk about Henry. Lucas says he went over old files and came over a report from the old Engineer, McCrory, regarding the safety of the mine. The report clearly says the mine was unsafe. Jerome says it is a mute point, McCroy was very sick and he sadly passed away last month.
Mrs. St. John walks in to where the women are getting the place ready for the party, she asks for directions to the mayor’s office, when Bill walks in, he is serving coffee. She asks him if they can talk over coffee. Her first name is Madelyn, and her husband Sebastien recently passed away.
Mrs. St. John came to town to give the hot springs a try, she asks Bill for a tour. He says he is very busy, so she offers to pay him.
Rosemary is at the salon, and he women start to pamper her. Elizabeth slips out to continue making the preparations for the baby shower.
Faith is getting ready to leave, Nathan has decided that he is going to escort her after all. She says she will only agree to it because she likes his dog.
Jamie is walking down the street eating an ice cream when he sees Bill with a bike and asks where his horse is it. Bill says he is going to supervise a science project, Jamie wants to join them.
Faith and Nathan are enjoying a moment on the road when Scout starts barking and runs off. Nathan jumps in the wagon after him, leaving Faith on the road.
Bill and Jamie are at the hot springs, Allie is taking notes, Cooper goes inside to see where the hot water is coming from. Jamie talks about his life, he goes to an all boys school. Cooper found something, a tiny crack in the rock with bubbles coming out.
Lucas receives a letter from Black Creek, Jerome is sitting at a table watching him.
Nathan returns to Faith, Scout found a squirrel, that is why he ran off. He helps her in the wagon. She tells him that he can tell everyone he saved her from bandits and squirrels.
Rosemary is still being pampered, Elizabeth tells her that everything is under control, she just needs to relax. Rosemary wants to talk to Minnie, she tells Fiona and Mei it was amazing. They head on over to the café for the surprise baby shower.
Faith returns to town just in time, at the café, Rosemary is about to open presents.
Bill and the kids are returning from the springs, Mrs. St. John sees Jamie and he says he went with everyone and leaded the investigation. Bill tells Mrs. St. John has a very bright young man there.
Jamie tells his mother that he likes it in Hope Valley.
Minnie passes a basket around with candles, she tells the women that there is a tradition when you get closer to giving birth, they light them to show that they are not alone.
Lucas is with Jerome, McCrory gave a written statement, a confession, before he died. Jerome wants to read it and Lucas says no, not before the judge looks at it. Lucas says that McCrory accuses Jerome of bribery, the confession could open up a whole new trial. Jerome asks what it takes for this to go away. Lucas tells him to revoke the charges against Henry and leave town for good.
Lucas gives mike the statement, he tells him to keep it somewhere safe. The statement is blank, Lucas was bluffing.
The baby shower is over, Elizabeth is with Rosemary who says it was better than she could have ever expected. Elizabeth says a big part of mother hood is supporting other mothers.
Mrs. St. John is up to something, she is on the phone speaking to someone and says they are really nice people, are they sure this is the only way.
Henry finds out that the charges have been dropped, he tells Lucas that he took his opportunity away to pay his own bill. Lucas says he was just trying to help a good man who didn’t deserve to go to prison.
Henry walks out of the office and Allie sees him, she tells him that the springs were formed because of him. After he blew up the mine, it created a crack in the earth that allowed the springs to be formed.
Rosemary arrives home with all her gifts, she tells Lee it was an inspiring day. He says he has a surprise for her to, it is a rocking chair and basinet, he made them with a lot of help from Joseph. She tells him its perfect. He tells her that she is going to be the perfect mother.
Lucas is sitting on the step, Elizabeth joins him outside. While Gustave was making the cake, he also had him make one of his grandmother’s recipes and he brought her a slice, vanilla and lavender. He asks her what she thinks if Gustave made this cake for their wedding cake. She says three tiers would be good. He tells her that Henry is a free man and is having trouble accepting his newfound freedom. He reveals that he bluffed with Jerome, used some of his old tricks to save a friend.
