9-1-1 certainly knows how to create a “buzz”! The series revealed its premiere date for Season 8 recently and caused a stir of speculation, all in one swoop, through a short promo video they released on social media.
9-1-1 Season 8: The Premiere Date Everyone’s Buzzing About
9-1-1’s official Instagram account posted an interesting video on Wednesday, July 10. The “9-1-1” logo was front and center on the screen, with emergency sirens wailing in the background, as insects – seemingly bees – swarmed the black screen, where the “9-1-1” eventually transformed into “9-26”.
The caption of the post states, “What’s all the buzz about? A new season of #911onABC premieres September 26 at 8/7C on ABC and stream on Hulu.”
ABC revealed premiere dates for its fall 2024 schedule shows, and it seems that 9-1-1 is in good company on Thursdays, as Doctor Odyssey is set to have its series premiere that same night at 9 p.m., with Grey’s Anatomy unveiling its Season 21 premiere at 10 p.m. on September 26, too.
9-1-1 Season 8: Is The Promo Foreshadowing Something
Is there more to the “bees” (or possibly hornets) in the promo? Is the show foreshadowing a massive storyline to kick off 9-1-1’s Season 8, or are the insects there as ‘tongue in cheek’ wording to help create a “buzz”?
It’s no secret that the show loves its natural disasters, so will it go another route this time via a deadly insect plague that hits Los Angeles?
With that being said, Peter Krause (Bobby Nash) spoke to TV Guide recently, revealing his character’s storyline come the new season, considering everything that happened to him in Season 7!
Krause states, that he and the show’s creator, Tim Minear, spoke about possibly having Bobby and Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) confined together in a hotel or apartment (like on the cruise ship) for a little while, at the start of Season 8. Krause states, “Their relationship is deeper and stronger now, and I think we can withstand some comedy. I had also pitched to him that maybe they go on an RV trip together as a second chance at a honeymoon. So, I don’t know if that’ll ever happen or not, but I mean, it’s an RV trip. What could go wrong?”
