In tonight’s episode of American Ninja Warrior, tonight was the fifth as well as sixth installment of the Qualifiers! It was a double episode. The second part also came with a change of obstacles.

Up first was Holly Beckstrand. She was the matriarch of the Beckstrand family. She was the mother of five. Two of her children were running the course tonight. Her husband also used to do ANW. They would all frequent the local ninja gym. Holly doesn’t get the same time to practice as the kids do because she was mom and she has many responsibilities. And so she was running to show that she was more than just mom, she was now a ninja.

Holly proved to be a formidable ninja. She took an extra few swings here and there. Only she made it to the fifth obstacle before she got taken out by the Cubes. She’ll have to wait to see if she made it far enough fast enough to qualify for the next round. Next up Ethan Gardulski. He struggled with anxiety. He was bullied at his last school and his parents transferred him to somewhere safer. His mom also began taking him to the local ninja gym. He made friends there. He fell in love with running the obstacle course. ANW changed his whole life.

Ethan ran tonight like a seasoned ninja. He sailed through the courses. He managed to survive the Cubes. He made it all the way up the Warped Wall on his sophomore season and he was just so happy that everyone was happy for him. Ethan had a great message. Hopefully, the whole world will see it. Then there was a commercial break in which several ninjas had their run and unfortunately none of them hit a buzzer. Next up Jackson Twait. He was an Iowa ninja that loves to go fast. Most ninjas that favor that were hoping for a chance at the Mega Warped Wall.

The Mega Wall comes with an extra twenty grand this season. The ninja just needed to complete the course in under a minute and twenty seconds to qualify for the Mega. Jackson was so quick on his feet that he finished the course at a minute and nineteen seconds. He went after the Mega tonight. He sadly didn’t make it. They’ve raised the ledge of the Mega by six inches since he last reached it. Next up was Yari Breunig. She was a social media influencer. She herself has admitted that she loves being in the spotlight.

Its why she joined the choir in high school. She wanted to be seen. She also wanted to show off her amazing voice. Now she gets to showcase her life while also being a great ninja. She was a mother of two and they watched as she made it to the fourth obstacle when she fell. She’s another one that has to wait to see if she made it far enough fast enough. Next up was Taylor Greene. This was her sophomore season. She managed to hit a buzzer her first season. She was hoping to recreate the moment.

Taylor trains with Autin Gray and Nate Hansen. They were some of the best ninjas around. They took Taylor under their wing and they’ve been training with her ever since. Taylor ran through the course with ease. It was the Cubes that almost stumped her, but she survived it and she got her second qualifying buzzer. It wasn’t until the end that Taylor admitted she was a little tired. The Cubes took everything out of her. Next up was Kai Beckstrand. His brother ran during the commercial break and he hit a buzzer. And Kai wanted the same.

Kai wanted that buzzer. He also wanted to go fast enough to qualify for the Mega Warped Wall. Kai went a little too fast in Las Vegas the last time and he got eliminated early. This time around he tried to be careful while not losing his speed. He finished the course in under a minute and twenty seconds. He was the first to get the Mega Warped Wall all season. He was now twenty grand richer. Next up was Nate Hansen. Nate was back and he was in love. He’s known Morgan since high school. They started off as friends.

Nate was a little too shy to ask her out back then. It took becoming a ninja to give him confidence that he needed to finally worked up the courage to ask Morgan out. They started dating. They’re together now. Morgan was watching his run from a screen when Nate suffered a shocking fall. He fell on Crossfit. He instantly fell into a bubble. He might get dropped out by the next runner and sadly the next runner was his best friend, Austin Gray. Austin tried to run through the course fast and he took too much time on one obstacle. He still hit a buzzer only he didn’t get the Mega Wall. He was also informed that he knocked Nate out of the running.

Then there was the Runoffs. It was two dads against each other on the men’s side. Jesse Maurer won on his side. On the women’s side, the winner proved to be the Australian Judith. Afterwards, the course was changed up. More ninjas got to run. The first of the new batch was Sydney Yee. She was the youngest athlete of the season. She was also on the short side. She loved the show. When she wasn’t waiting on the Boy Scout League to let girls enter, she was watching ANW. She was now happier than ever because she became a boy scout and she ran on ANW.

Sydney made it to Heavy Metal when she fell. She has to wait and see if she makes it into the next round. Next up Xavier Danzer. He was also known as X. He was a Brooklyn ninja. He used to take the train to meet up with other ninjas and now those ninjas are traveling to work with him. X became a coach. He started training kids from all five boroughs. He spread the love of ninja. Now X ran the course tonight with ease. He didn’t seek out speed. He just carefully navigated the obstacles until he could hit a buzzer. That was X’s first buzzer in the ANW world.

Next up was James McGrath. He was also known as “the Beast”. He’s been competing since season two. He’s gotten older since then and the obstacles weren’t as easy. James nearly fell several times on the course. Every time they thought he was down; he came roaring back up. He finished the course with a buzzer and he missed out on the Mega. Next up was Abby Clark. She was one of the top female ninjas around. Only she’s been cursed lately. She hasn’t hit a buzzer since 2018. She keeps falling short on the Warped Wall.

Abby wanted to break the curse tonight. She sailed through the course. She made it to the Warped Wall and this time she was able to hit a buzzer from the top of it. She’s back in great form it seems. This season was already looking up for her. Next up was Jesse Orenshein. He was a self-described Orthodox Jew. He’s married with two children. He writes children’s books. His latest book will be about teaching kids the ninja world. Jesse was known for falling on the second obstacle and he didn’t do that tonight. He flew tonight.

His yam Macca fell off. It fell into the water. Luckily, he had a backup in his pocket. He put on the backup. He focused again on the course. Jesse would later fall on the fifth obstacle and now everything is wet. Next up was Joe Moravsky. He was known as the Weatherman. He’s had more buzzers than anyone. He wants the Mega Wall tonight. He want the million dollars at the end of Stage Four. He finished the course tonight with the second fastest time of the night and he missed out on the Mega by a few inches.

And lastly was the final Runoffs of the night. It was Sydney Yee against Sasha Moore for the women. It was also Vincent Pane against Jesse Orenshein for the men. Pane won his. Sydney won hers. And that was it for the night.

THE END!
