Tonight on NBC America’s Got Talent begins with an all-new Tuesday, August 21, 2024, episode and we have your America’s Got Talent recap below! On tonight’s AGT season 19 episode 11 “Quarterfinals 2 Results″, as per the NBC synopsis,
“America’s votes will reveal which two acts from the previous night’s show will move on to the Semi-finals. Also advancing is one act that got sent straight to Finals last night with the new Live Show Golden Buzzer.”

There was so much talent on display on Tuesday night. It covered different fields. It included people from all over the globe. It was a great night and unfortunately two of the judges kept crapping on everyone. Both Howie and Simon butted heads with their fellow judges as well as the audience. They just kept saying that the performers needed to elevate everything. They told Brooke that she bored them for two thirds of the song she performed. They told Legión that setting their hats on fire didn’t impress them. And there was just one act that they absolutely loved.
They loved AIRFOOTWORKS. Both men hit the Golden Buzzer for them. Simon technically broke the rules for the second time this season because he simply loved AIRFOOTWORKS so much that he couldn’t resist upsetting the producers. He got lucky. He got off easy because the tape did show that Howie got to the buzzer first. Everyone else was just happy that AIRFOOTWORKS weren’t negatively affected. They still got their Golden Buzzer. They were heading straight for the Finals. They were safe tonight and it was the other acts that faced elimination.
Sofia’s Golden Buzzer from the Auditions was facing elimination tonight. Their second performance didn’t live up to the joy from their first. Simon even pressed his X for Schumacher last night. They were off to a rocky start. Only they weren’t the first eliminated. The first act eliminated tonight was NiNi. The rock goddess from Taiwan showed the world that her culture’s traditional instruments could be used for modern day rock music. The audience really loved her and so it was a bit shocking that she lost out to Ashlee Montague tonight.
Nothing against Ashlee. She was also great. It was only Howie that didn’t enjoy her performance. Then Schumacher went up. They went second. They were put on the same stage as Alex Sampson and so everyone knew how it would pan out for them. Alex was just that good. He was a cute young man that was great at love songs. Of course he was going to win over Schumacher. Schumacher weren’t even upset when Terry announced Alex’s name. They pretty much saw that coming and were glad to share their act with the world.
Brooke went up next. She shared the stage with Bboy Samuka. They were both talented only the audience chose to go with Bboy. His performance was a little bit stronger than Brooke’s own. After them, it was Biko’s Manna’s turn. They stood across from Young-Min. They were both great acts. Biko Manna has the adorable kids with amazing voices and Young-Min was great at magic. They weren’t alike in any way. America had to decide who to keep and they chose to keep Young-Min because his magic really was unexplainable.
Sky Elements then shared a stage with Legión. They both deserved to make it to the next round. They both would be great in Las Vegas and so this one was a tough one. Sky Elements won their round. This was it for Legión and that was a tough one to deal with. Was there an Argentina Got Talent version? Someone better make one because Legión deserves to win it. Meanwhile the acts that did get chosen earlier were set against each other. Not everyone could get through to the next round.
Bboy, Sky Elements, Alex, Ashlee, and Young-Min were chosen earlier. There were five of them. Which was unfortunate because there were only three spots open in the Finals. The results waited until after previous AGT winners put on a magic show. It was brutal waiting, but they eventually got around to the results. The first person safe tonight was Alex. Alex couldn’t react well or say thank you because he was just so shocked that all he could say was “oh my god”. He couldn’t believe he made it into the next round. His shock helped the others that followed.
Young-Min’s name was announced second. He remembered to say thank you while maintaining his calm demeanor and the calmness might actually be his personality at this point. He even does magic with that calm demeanor. But the last person going into the next round turned out to be Sky Elements. They were such a rare act because no one has ever seen anything like that before. Their drone show was one of a kind. And that’s what got them into the next round.
And tonight was it for Ashlee and Bboy.
