In tonight’s Big Brother premiere episode, Big Brother 26 kicked off its premiere with something new. This season the houseguests would have the power to vote in a seventeenth houseguest. They were already going to be cut off from the outside world, but now they were getting a taste of power early.
There’s no telling how they’ll agree on a decision. They all are so different. There was Rubina. She was a bartender. She was also 4’9. She was on the short side and was used to being overlooked. Then there was Cam. He was a former professional football player. He tore his ACL. He had to retire early and that’s when he decided to become a physical therapist. He’s very zen.
Some tend to view Cam as cocky. He claims that’s a misconception. He swears he’s the sweetest guy. We’ll see about that! There was Mackensy. She works in construction.
She grew up in the business because her dad works in construction. She was used to guys hitting on her. She was single and she let it be known that she would use a guy to get ahead if she has to on Big Brother 26. Then there was Joseph. He works at a video store. His store still sells VHS tapes. He wasn’t fit or in perfect condition. Only he’s watched the show for years.
Most of them have watched the show for years. They knew that they needed alliances to make it till the end. It wasn’t always about winning challenges. Angela was a fifty year old woman. She strategized early on to make herself known as the maternal figure. She also came up with a plan to turn on all of them the second she could. She was ready for an older woman to finally win. Kimo on the other hand wanted to represent Hawaii. He used to watch the show with his older brother. His brother was the one person to support him when he first came out of the closet as gay.
The rest of the family eventually accepted him because of his older brother. Sadly, the family lost Kimo’s brother to cancer and now Kimo was doing the show in his brother’s honor. Chelsie will be joining the household as well. She describes herself as being half-hood/half-holy. She got involved with the church early on. It’s what moved her to become a mentor to high school students. She does that when she’s not running a nonprofit. Joining her and Kimo was Tucker. Tucker did everything. He loves camping and fishing and running.
Tucker even did some modeling. He believes he’ll be the first flirty one. He also believes that those affections will be returned because he has a modeling background. Tucker was the first person called to enter the house. He was joined by Kimo, Angela, and Chelsie. Angela was so excited to enter the house that she was shaking. Chelsie was worried she might have to revive her. The next four was allowed to enter the house. Cam, Mackensy, Joseph, and Rubina joined the others. They decided on who will cook. Who will do the dishes. And Mackensy was looking forward to the next eight.
Mackensy was 6’2 in heels. She was looking for a guy to be taller than her. She was looking for someone at least 6’5. None of the guys in the first eight were that height. She became hopeful for the next eight because she wanted to see if someone will be taller than her. There was just one thing they had to do before meeting the next eight. They got to vote on accepting the seventeenth person into the house. They were introduced to her. Her name is Ainsley. She said she’s painfully single. She works in a surf shop. She seemed nice at first.
Only it’s a competition. Some of the others didn’t want more bodies to vote out while some wanted additional bodies to hide behind. They got to vote without discussing their decision with the others. Ainsley needed at least five votes to join them. It ended up being a tie. Four for her. Four against her. The funny part was that Ainsley wasn’t a real person at all. She was BB AI. The theme for this season. She will still be joining them for Big Brother 26. She will also be dictating their challenges. The first challenge was called Color Calibration. The houseguests have to help teach the AI color.
The loser of the competition will find their game “downgraded”. They won’t know if they’re the unlucky one until they were joined by the eight others. Which means all those that voted against the artificial intelligence might be on her crap list. The Color Calibration was literally the worst. No one could remember the placement of the colors while they were spinning around and seeing mere flashes of color in their rear view. It’s why some chose to put their head in a box of terrifying creatures that was offered up as a second option. Angela chose Color Calibration. She got one right.
Joseph chose the same. He got four right. Rubina got the same points from the same game. Cam, Tucker, and Kimo chose to put their heads into a box full of creatures. They saw snakes. They saw roaches. They saw scorpions. They also saw spiders. The spiders proved to be terrifying for Chelsie. She was deathly afraid of them. She was in the bottom at the end of that challenge because she forgot to plug in the device once she was done. Chelsie will have her game downgraded for that one mistake.
Makensy will find her game upgraded when she proved the fastest at Color Calibration. However, neither of the two women know their current position and they won’t learn it until they meet the second group of eight.
