In tonight’s Blue Bloods episode, Jamie caught a robbery/homicide. He became involved because of the victim. The victim was Marcus Carter. He ran with the Los Pelotas gang. They were big into drugs and so that’s the motive right there. Jamie checked Marcus’s car.

He found the hidden compartment where they stash drugs. It was empty. Whoever robbed Marcus had taken the drugs. They also knew about the drugs in the first place. It’s probably why Marcus was targeted and so that takes his murder to first degree. Jamie ordered that the rest of the car be stripped to the studs to see if there was anything the killer missed.

There was nothing.

Jamie checked in on the rival gang. The Savage Rascals. Derek was one of the leaders of that gang. He was also known for ripping off rivals to score product and so Jamie brought him in for questioning. Derek denied being a part of a gang. He denied being in that neighborhood.

He knew that the cops had nothing on him. Jamie was based out of the precinct in the neighborhood. He knew that the Savage Rascals were keeping tabs on a Los Pelotas auto shop in the area. Jamie asked his lieutenant to sit on the property. Just to keep some set of eyes on both gang’s movements.

The lieutenant turned it down. He also said they didn’t have enough to hold Derek. He was released. Which Jamie hated. Jamie thought they should be proactive.

It wasn’t going to blow the budget by having a team outside the auto shop to see who comes and goes. Jamie also couldn’t go against a lieutenant. The guy gave an order. It was Jamie’s job to follow it. Something he normally wouldn’t have a problem with because he was known as a boy scout for a reason. His own family thought he was too by the book.

Only Jamie felt the need to break rank. He didn’t think following the lieutenant’s orders were good enough. The community needed to see that they were taking accountability and that meant getting justice for a victim. It didn’t matter if the victim was a gangbanger.

He personally went to the auto shop. He spoke to the guy running the place. He was former Los Pelotas. He’s since got legit. He has his own auto repair shop that he runs with his father and there were no laws about building secret compartments into cars. They brought that up when Jamie tried to question them about it.

Jamie got a team to keep tabs on that shop for him. He ignored his boss. He overestimated his own power. The only reason he wasn’t getting written up was because he’s a Reagan.

Reagans are allowed to make mistakes. Danny made one recently. Danny wanted to know who was moving in on Little Vietnam. Someone was buying up property and forcing the storeowners to pay protection money. Danny went to an old contact and he got a name. Chris Tran. He ran Asian Royals Bloods. Danny and Baez later spoke to Tran.

They tried to get him to back off. They told him that oppressing his own community after everything they’ve been through was monstrous. Tran didn’t care. He didn’t care he was oppressing people that came to this country for a second chance. He did it too. He wants to take over the whole neighborhood.

He wants to run Little Vietnam. Strangely, there was a second someone that wanted to expand his business. It was Danny’s old contact. Its Ahn Son. He was also known as Sonny. Sonny was the one that told them about Tran. He just failed to mention that he made a play for another restaurant as well.

Sonny made a play for the same restaurant that was shaken down. Someone later killed the guy that owns the place. He didn’t get to sell his restaurant to either Sonny or Tran. Meaning both of them could have done it. They could have made a deal. Danny brought in Sonny for questioning.

He wanted to know why Sonny failed to mention he tried to buy the restaurant when they first spoke. Sonny said it slipped his mind. Danny didn’t believe him. He wanted nothing to do with Sonny anymore and so Sonny offered to help. He said that Tran was out to buy up his own place now. Sonny agreed to wear a wire during their meeting.

Jamie also got the auto shop to help him. The Savage Rascals were threatening the man that owns it. They threatened his kid and so Jamie got the man to agree to a sting operation. It helped catch their killer/drug dealers. It brought justice. Danny did the same for the Vietnamese community.

He caught Tran after Tran admitted on tape that he killed a guy as a message to everyone else he was shaking down. Their sister wasn’t just sitting around either. She helped an informant turn against a vet and a racehorse owner. Apparently, the two were pushing horses to the breaking point. And several died.

But Frank had his story for Sunday dinner. He was approached by a governing body that wanted to recruit from police unions. Frank’s unions.

They want to join the unions to a national unions. Ones with power. One that can lobby Washington DC. One that could lobby their own mayor too. Frank couldn’t endorse that. He just didn’t ask anyone to vote against it either. He wanted the unions to vote and decide for themselves. It was very Frank.

THE END!
