Bad news for CSI: Vegas and So Help Me Todd fans. According to Deadline, CBS has canceled both shows and they will not be returning for the 2024-2025 season.
So Help Me Todd & CSI: Vegas – It’s All About The Ratings
There was a lingering feeling that CSI: Vegas and So Help Me Todd were on the chopping block. After all, they were the least-watched dramas on CBS, and with a slew of renewal announcements, CBS has been sitting on their decisions for these two shows.
So Help Me Todd averaged about 6.224 million viewers, while CSI: Vegas had 6.234 million. Interestingly enough, even though they do rank last for dramas on the network, they do better in the ratings compared to shows that CBS did renew for next year, including Law & Order, The Rookie, The Irrational, and Grey’s Anatomy.
Still, unlike SEAL Team and Evil, as of this writing, there are no plans for CBS to move either canceled series to Paramount+; however, anything is possible.
So Help Me Todd & CSI: Vegas – Final Shows
According to reports, So Help Me Todd’s series finale will air on Sunday, May 19, and it is being said the show is ending with a big cliffhanger; meanwhile, there’s no word on what CSI: Vegas’ final episode will look like, but it will follow So Help Me Todd on May 19 and may likely have a cliffhanger, as well. This will make closure for fans of both series that much harder.
The Equalizer, starring Queen Latifah, and NCIS: Hawai’i are the two last CBS dramas awaiting renewal news. The Equalizer is expected to return to the network for the 2024-2050 season; however, the NCIS spinoff’s future is up in the air and could go either way.
While fans of So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas might be disappointed with this news, there’s always the chance that another network or streaming service could pick up either show. There’s also the possibility that they get the S.W.A.T. treatment and decisions are reversed. Only time will tell.
