Chicago PD: Is A Major Star Jumping Ship To A Rival Series?

A number of casting switch-ups are coming in the 2024-2025 season when it comes to the Chicago One franchise. Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) recently exited Chicago PD after its Season 11 finale; however, some viewers think an Easter egg during the final moments of the show is hinting that she’ll be seen on a series that airs on a rival network in the coming future.

Chicago PD – Will Major Star Be Seen On Rival Series?

During the Chicago PD season finale, Upton was racing against the clock to help Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), as he had been targeted and captured by a serial killer.

The bad news is that Hailey was shot during the rescue, but the good news is that she helped her boss escape and the two made it out alive.

While they both went to the hospital after the ordeal, this is when Upton revealed to Voight that she wanted to leave town and start fresh, somewhere else. The moment was a touching one between the two, as actress Tracy Spiridakos moved on from the show.

Still, as the finale closed, Hailey was at the airport, checking out FBI jobs. Dick Wolfe produces Chicago PD but also produces the FBI franchise, too. This closing moment left fans on social media buzzing. Was this an Easter egg about a possible Hailey Upton appearance on another show?

Anything is possible, and it would be an interesting thing to see the character hop from one Dick Wolfe series to another: especially considering that the Chicago One franchise airs on NBC, while FBI airs on CBS.

Chicago PD – Hailey Upton Isn’t The Only One Leaving

Hailey Upton isn’t the only character shakeup in the Chicago One franchise this season. Actor Eammon Walker is leaving his role as Deputy District Chief Wallace Boden on Chicago Fire, although this isn’t a complete exit, he’s just dropping down to recurring status.
