Could Station 19 Find A New Home In Netflix, Now That It’s Been Cancelled?

Station 19 fans are currently gearing up to say goodbye after ABC recently announced they are not picking the show up for another season.

After seven years, many have grown to love the firefighting drama series; however, could the show get picked up by another network or streaming platform?

#SaveStation19 Is Gaining Traction On Social Media

In this day and age, when a show gets canceled, it doesn’t always mean “the end of the road”. Sometimes, cancellations can get overturned and there are also instances where another network or streaming service picks the show up.

Station 19 viewers are currently clinging on to the hope that one of these things will happen for their favorite show. In fact, the #SaveStation19 hashtag has been making its rounds on social media ever since ABC announced the show’s cancellation.

Fans have been known to turn things around for shows in the past, so the hashtag is a great idea in helping place a spotlight on this series.

Station 19’s Showrunners Will Follow The Drama, “Anywhere” It Goes

An interesting tidbit to share is that Station 19’s Executive Producer, Shonda Rhimes, has a development deal with Netflix and produces shows on the streaming service, like Bridgerton.

Even more interesting are some comments the drama’s showrunners told TVLine recently. Zoanne Clack, one Station 19 showrunner told the publication that while they don’t know much about the drama’s future, “we’ll happily” go wherever it goes (if it is picked up on another platform).

Peter Paige, another showrunner for Station 19, made a similar statement to TVLine revealing, “We would happily” do another season if the opportunity was presented.

It seems like both fans, as well as cast and crew, want nothing more than a Station 19 Season 8, despite ABC’s cancellation announcement, so here’s hoping Netflix, or another streaming platform or network, picks the drama up before it’s too late. Only time will tell.
