In tonight’s CSI: Vegas episode, two men wandering around in an abandoned hospital found a body. The body was that of an unknown black man. There wasn’t ID on him. He looks on the young side.

He also had a gaping wound in his chest. It looks like someone carved him open. It was a mystery as to why. Josh loves those kinds of mysteries, but he can’t be involved in this one.

He was just back from suspension. He was starting over from level one. He wasn’t going to be doing anything fun or so he thought until the abandoned hospital blew. It blew up from the basement. Allie was down there. Josh wanted to rush into the building to find her and he was stopped by Beau. Beau said that the building wasn’t safe. They needed professionals to reenter that building to get Allie out.

This means they had to call for the fire department. The fire department was working their way to Allie. She survived the blast. The firefighters had to clear debris and it was going to be eight to twelve hours before they reached her. Allie has to wait around in that time doing nothing.

She couldn’t even assist with moving debris because she might bring down the rest of the building that way. She also couldn’t be there at the victim’s autopsy. He had already been moved and it seems that his heart as well as thymus gland were stolen from his chest. It was opened very cleanly. And leads the coroner to suspect that a medical professional cut the victim up.

The heart was taken out cleanly as well. Someone wanted that heart. To sell? To eat? The local police had no idea why this man was there at the hospital. They’ve identified him as Andre Lungett.

He came into town for an expo. He was trying to convert people to healthy living. He doesn’t live there. He was merely visiting. His family had to be informed. They had questions. The police had questions too. The autopsy showed the date rape drug was found in his system. He must have gotten drugged while out to a bar or with a new friend.

Whoever drugged him then drove him to that abandoned hospital. It seems they weren’t done with him when he was found by others. As Allie told everyone. Allie had gotten bored. She started looking around.

She followed a blood trail to a secret door and inside the door there were two more bodies. The other bodies had been taken down to skulls. They were surrounded by items. Allie wanted to test everything and Max told her to wait for the firefighters to clear the scene. Allie still had her cell phone. They could reach her if anything happens with the case.

Well, something happened. Beau had found a sample of something he couldn’t identify. Catherine had to tell him to take it to Max. Beau didn’t want to do that at first. He said it felt like giving up. He wanted to keep working and Max sorta stumbled across it. She was able to put together the substance he found. It was a sauce. It’s usually served over sushi or raw meat. Meaning their killer could be consuming the victims. The glands he stole were known as being sweet to the taste. The heart had lots of muscle. And it could have been the meal to the earlier appetizer.

They were looking for a cannibal. Allie helped find his hunting ground. She identified the men as all being parts of a health and wellness expo. The same one that Andre came to be a part of. Someone has been using that place as a hunting ground. Allie came across that person when she started exploring the place. This man had a gun. He told Allie to start moving the debris so that he can get out. She was doing that while the rest of her team was running a blood test on the sample they collected from the scene.

They had seen the man they believe was their perp. He was spotted wearing covid masks at the expo. He was stalking his victim before he killed him. Max saw that his hands have a tremor. She believed their killer had Kuru. It’s a disease that had been passed by consuming the meat of a dead person with a rare disease. The person the killer snacked on has a rare disease that caused him neurological issues. Its why the killer in real time had Allie opening a window for him to escape because he couldn’t wait around when the authorities finally got through.

Anyways, the disease gave them a name. They were looking for Calvin Wawrzecki . He used to work at funeral home until he got fired for eating their clients. The funeral home director didn’t call the police because he didn’t want to bring scandal down on his business. This mistake would cost several people their lives. Calvin couldn’t get another job at a funeral home. He was still a cannibal and so he started hunting his victims at the expo hoping they lived healthily. And he started viewing Allie as a potential victim when he forced her to escape with him.

The firefighters cleared the building. They went in and they couldn’t find Allie. They did find Allie’s clue. She reminded them that she has a smart watch and she even gave them the password to it. They later found her before Calvin could kill her. And Allie was saved.

A cannibal was arrested.

And Catherine and Beau were still figuring out their new partnership.

THE END!
