In tonight’s CSI: Vegas episode, Josh was back at the Crime Lab. He’s been demoted down to level one. People at the lab believe the Artificial robot has better judgement than Josh.

Maxine trusted neither Josh nor the robot. It’s also why she kept a hold of the robot. She still believes it can think for itself. She doesn’t trust that the case was over and she wanted to double-check everything before returning the robot. Only a new case shifted everyone’s focus.

There was a father and son that were killed by radiation exposure. There were paramedics that tried to enter the scene. They got sick and had to be pulled out. And so no one knew what it was until Josh identified it as radiation.

It showed on his camera when he entered the house. He was wearing a hazmat suit. The same goes for Ally and Serena. They all had to flee the house once they knew what it was. They had to shower outside. They were given clothes. There’s no telling how far the radiation went. They brought in an expert.

She gave them the necessary tools to establish a hot zone and then to keep away from that hot zone. There’s no cure for radiation poisoning because it shuts down all the internal organs. It leaves people bleeding from the eyes, the mouth, and even the ears.

The victims were Harry Pallatine and his son, Nic. Nic was on spring break from college. He was using the time to watch old movies with his dad and that’s where they started experience the symptoms. They both died in front of that television. Nic barely had time to call 911.

Their murders aside, someone chose to kill them using radiation and that meant it was probably someone upset with Harry Pallatine’s work. He sat on the State Nuclear Committee. They were thinking of adding a nuclear site right outside of Las Vegas. It was supposed to bring in jobs and all Harry got in return were enemies.

There were a lot of people against the new site. Some wrote death threats to Harry. He was only on that board because his wife used her connection to get him that job.

The wife was well-connected. She was rich. Harry wasn’t. Harry didn’t come from an affluent background. It was just unfortunate that he was the face of the committee. He wanted to help people and now he’s dead. He was killed by a nuclear fuel pellet. It had ruptured. It affected the air around it. Harry and Nic had hours with being exposed. The same goes for his wife. She was taken into protective custody.

The uranium pellet was usually well guarded by the nuclear sites where it supposed to be stored. Angela Hoppe was the expert. She was going to connect the pellet to a certain site. Then tell the site that there’s been a breach. Angela unfortunately was exposed to the pellet for too long. She began experiencing the same symptoms that ultimately killed Harry and Nic. Angela knew her days were numbered. She tried to help them close the case by testing Harry’s biggest critic. His neighbor. The same neighbor that built a bunker and transfer his saving into gold because he thinks the end of the world is coming.

Angela’s symptoms stopped her from doing much else. She was sent to the hospital. Josh stopped by to tell her how she was exposed. There was a small cut in her hazmat suit and Angela wasn’t worried or scared about what came next. The rest of the crime lab tested clean. Josh later got to drive Angela home because she wanted to die around the familiar. She said she would have gotten crappy food if she stayed at the hospital. She said something about being free to live each moment and so Josh tested the blood she spilt earlier.

Angela was never exposed to radiation. She ripped her out suit. She made her cat’s blood look like it was coming from her nostrils and she did all of that because she robbed the neighbor. The doomsday prepper. They one that turns all his money into gold. Well, he’s been doing that for the past couple of years and he now has millions in gold. Angela must have learned about his hoard. She broke into the Pallatine house in order to access the crazy’s neighbor’s yard. Angela needed help to move all that gold. She put it in a case and she had Josh move it for her. He thought he was moving equipment.

And so everyone went looking for Angela. She went on the run with all that gold. The cops eventually caught up to her and they arrested her for premediated double homicide. She killed the Pallatines hoping to get close to the gold. But Max wasn’t like herself lately. She kept digging in the Cuevas murder. She managed to find that there were two people present when Cuevas was killed. Max even got a photo of the blond woman.

THE END!
