Bruno Tonioli is confirmed for a return to Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), Season 33. He’s been in this role since the beginning of the reality television series, so it’s great news for longtime fans.
Dancing With The Stars, Season 33: Bruno Tonioli’s History With The Series
Tonioli has been with the series since the beginning, starting as a judge for Strictly Come Dancing, the British show that Dancing With The Stars was spawned from. Bruno left the UK series in 2019; however, DWTS viewers have been lucky enough to have him continue with the American version for 32 seasons, and now another, as he’ll be a part of Season 33.
During a chat with The Sun, Tonioli spoke about his ballroom judge career. He confirmed his participation in the next DWTS season, stating, he’ll continue with the “American one”. Bruno adds that he’s “very passionate” about it, but sometimes “you have to try something new.” He also states that, “It is good doing something different”.

While talking to The Sun, Tonioli reveals some differences between the shows he’s been a judge on. He says that the role he played in “Strictly” is different from the one on DWTS. He states that he’s “so grateful” to BGT for allowing him to show more of himself. Tonioli adds that he’s “Bruno unleashed now, darling!”, noting that, he can use “all my range, it’s exciting.”
Bruno also mentioned how his costars have encouraged him throughout the years during the many career pivots he’s taken. He talks about the late Len Goodman, his fellow DWTS judge who passed away in April 2023, saying, that Len sent him a wonderful email before he died, which is still quite difficult to talk about. In fact, Tonioli adds that he can’t even talk about him not being here anymore, but the email meant a lot.
