Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 9, reveals that Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) overheard Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) talking to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) about Everett Lynch aka Robert “Bobby” Stein (Blake Berris) being a looney psychopath, so she scolded her since Everett had a serious mental illness.
Chanel was apologetic for not choosing her words more carefully, so Connie was sorry for being testy and praised Chanel since she loved Sweet Bits.
Connie picked up some biscuits and mentioned that she was Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Cherie Jimenez) executive assistant during the conversation.
Next, Connie hinted about Gabi being betrayed by someone close to her, so Johnny assumed she meant EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
Once Connie left, Johnny and Chanel both thought that encounter was strange.
At DiMera Enterprises on Friday’s Days episode, Gabi told Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) that she talked to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and knew everything now.
Ava quickly realized that Gabi just meant the two kisses, so she was pleased when Gabi wanted to put any past tension to rest and focus on being a good team at work.
At the DiMera mansion on Friday’s DOOL show, Stefan paced as his guilt took a toll.
Although Stefan contemplated coming clean to Gabi about hooking up with Ava, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) warned that was a terrible idea.
Kristen wound up doing a roleplay exercise with Stefan and showed him all the ways confessing to Gabi could go wrong.
As a woman who understood these things, Kristen pushed Stefan to avoid spilling the cheating news.
Stefan called Gabi and still wanted to give her updates, but he backed out and made it seem like a lovey-dovey call where he just wanted to hear her voice.
Gabi also told Connie about hashing things out with Ava, but Connie questioned Stefan’s loyalty to Gabi. After Gabi got offended, Connie said she was sorry to be the one to tell her that Stefan cheated on her!
At the Salem PD, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) had doubts about Bobby’s suicide note since the phrasing was off and it just didn’t sound like what he’d write.
Nevertheless, Jada ultimately admitted she might be looking to place blame elsewhere since she still felt guilty over Everett’s grim fate.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) pushed Jada to put the case in cleared pile, so Jada decided she was right.
At Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) place on Friday’s Days episode, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) returned a tie that he’d dropped in the hallway.
Alex served Stephanie some cheese and crackers on one plate from the set Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) bought.
Once Alex decided to embrace his Greek heritage and smash those plates, he convinced Stephanie to smash some, too. Stephanie felt that she owed Alex for the happy distraction since she was still grieving Everett.
Back with Jada on Friday’s Days episode, she noticed Stephanie hadn’t signed her statement about all the Everett drama.
Stephanie came once she was summoned and had to relive what happened as she put her signature down.
Since Paulina urged Jada to put all this to bed, Jada somberly told Stephanie that’s exactly what she was going to do.
In the town square, Paulina walked off with Chanel to try her new muffin recipe while Johnny stayed at a table.
Ava appeared and mentioned that she heard Johnny was moving to Hollywood, but he assured her that he was sticking around.
Talk turned to Ava working with Gabi at DiMera Enterprises, so Ava acknowledged that she was worried about it at first. However, now Ava thought it was going to work out just fine.
