Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, July 12, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) kissed Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) neck and woke him up wanting to get passionate, but he claimed he had a headache and shut down the idea.
Gabi thought Stefan would be all over her after months of abstinence, so she wasn’t happy about the rejection.
Since Gabi knew this was really about Stefan’s anger over the press conference, she said she had a headache now too and stomped out of their bedroom.
Downstairs at the DiMera mansion, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) complained about Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) summoning her there since she’d rather avoid running into Gabi.
After Gabi appeared, she got updates on Ava’s new job since she was recruiting for DiMera and helping Kristen with business affairs.
Gabi wanted to talk to Ava about her husband, which made Ava nervous since she was keeping a lid on her hookup with Stefan.
However, Gabi actually just wanted to thank Ava for being there for Stefan during all the Clyde Weston (James Read) drama since it meant he didn’t have to go through it alone.
Stefan wondered what was going on when he walked in, but Gabi headed out and left him to grill Ava along with Kristen.
Although Kristen and Ava assured Stefan that his secret was safe, he obviously still had concerns.
At the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Gabi met up with Rafe and heard the news about Robert “Bobby” Stein aka Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) claiming he had info on Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) demise.
Gabi grew worried since she was exonerated based on evidence that Gil Carter (David S. Lee) committed the crime.
Rafe insisted Gabi would remain free regardless and doubted that Bobby knew anything anyway.
After Rafe swore Gabi to secrecy, he also revealed there was a chance Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller) could still be alive.
Once Ava arrived later, Gabi brought up Gabi Chic and made a pitch in hopes of partnering up at DiMera Enterprises.
At Bayview on Friday’s Days episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) warned that if Bobby didn’t tell her what he knew about Li’s grim fate, he’d never see her again.
Bobby hesitated until Jada started to walk out the door, so he stopped her and claimed he’d tell her everything.
Instead, Bobby faked a headache and pretended Everett came back. “Everett” acted disoriented at first, but he found some clarity by the time Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was called in.
“Everett” suggested he should be released now that Bobby was gone, so Marlena approved it since he was no longer eligible for an involuntary hold.
Plus, “Everett” was very willing to continue therapy with Marlena on the outside, so she was hopeful about his recovery.
Jada wondered if “Everett” knew anything about Li’s case, but “Everett” played dumb and left Jada fearing she’d never know the real story.
Once Bobby was back at the Salem Inn alone, he talked about keeping his end of the bargain by not divulging Connie Viniski’s (Julie Dove) name to the cops. Now Bobby was counting on Connie to get rid of Rafe like she said she would.
At Li’s old place, Connie made breakfast and hallucinated a conversation with him about her crime of passion.
More DOOL flashbacks explained how Connie stalked Li leading up to that night when she stabbed him in the back for threatening to call the cops.
Connie also texted Gabi that night to set her up, but Gil’s brief arrival almost derailed her plan.
Although Connie wasn’t worried about Bobby, she knew she had to do something about Rafe.
In the cemetery on Friday’s Days episode, Rafe spoke to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) over the phone about needing to have Abigail’s grave filled back in.
That’s when Connie appeared with the knife, so she lunged at Rafe from behind and left him crying out in pain.
