Days of Our Lives Friday, October 18 Recap: Steve Knocks Out Mark, Chad Elimination Plot Fails – JJ Fears Phony Abby

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 18, reveals that Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was frustrated over not being able to reach Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Kayla gave Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) updates on the altered DNA results and insisted Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) had been notified about Mark Greene’s (Jonah Robinson) criminal behavior.

Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) had also flown to Paris to warn Chad about “Abigail DiMera” (AnnaLynne McCord) being an imposter, so Kayla hoped he could stop the wedding.

Of course, Chad and “Abigail” were busy with a post-wedding celebration at their Paris apartment, but things took a tense turn. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) expressed confusion over “Abby” claiming she talked to JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) on the phone last night.

JJ confirmed they hadn’t spoken, so Chad questioned why “Abigail” would lie about that. Holly realized this was getting awkward and excused herself to let them deal with all this as a family.

At the café on Friday’s Days episode, Mark spoke to Clyde Weston (James Read) over the phone and got instructions on where to retrieve the gun that had been hidden for him. Mark reached under a nearby table and armed himself for his mission to eliminate Chad.

Once Holly appeared, Mark concealed the weapon and kept up his act about being in Paris to handle issues with his parents’ estate. Holly was surprised to see yet another familiar face and filled Mark in on witnessing Chad’s marriage to “Abigail.”

However, Holly alluded to some drama and mentioned that JJ was a surprise guest, so Mark t subtly gathered info before taking off on Friday’s Days episode.

After “Abigail” asked to speak with Chad alone, JJ wound up at the café and saw Mark leaving. Holly explained that Mark was a doctor from Salem and felt bad about causing trouble at the reception earlier.

JJ pointed out that Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) could never accept in her heart that was really “Abigail.” Since “Abby” lied about talking to JJ on the phone, he suggested maybe she wasn’t the real deal and that Holly might’ve helped uncover that news.

Before “Abigail” could come clean to Chad, Mark showed up at the door under the guise of congratulating the newlyweds. Chad was confused, but then he remembered the day he saw Mark with “Abigail” in the park.

After Chad asked if Mark and “Abigail” knew each other, he got confirmation that they did. Mark wound up barging in and holding the gun on Chad, but “Abigail” stepped in front of her new groom to shield him.

Mark insisted he had no choice and ultimately admitted Clyde Weston (James Read) was behind his actions.

Before Mark could convince Abby to move so he could pull the trigger, Steve knocked him out from behind. Chad demanded to know what was going on, so Steve said this woman wasn’t really Abigail.

Back in Salem on Friday’s Days episode, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) listened to Sophia Choi’s (Madelyn Kientz) concerns about whether Tate Black (Leo Howard) was over Holly. If Sophia liked Tate, Ava suggested she should fight for him and not care what anyone else thought.

At school on Friday’s DOOL show, Tate told Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) about his breakup from Holly and doubted reconciliation was possible. Aaron also found out Holly slapped Sophia, who still had feelings for Tate.

Although Aaron crushed on Sophia in the past, he insisted he was over that now and gave Tate his blessing to be with Sophia if he wanted.

Later, Tate sought Sophia out at The Bistro and asked if she wanted to hang out after work. Sophia agreed and seemed downright giddy while a pleased Ava smiled nearby.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sophia and Tate’s romance could heat up in the coming episodes, so stick with us for more predictions on what’s ahead for these two.
