Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, August 12, reveals that Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) complained to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) about all the decisions Abe Carver (James Reynolds) had talked her into, but she drew the line at letting Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) play Kassandra on Body and Soul.
Meanwhile, Bonnie showed up for her official audition, but Abe admitted it wasn’t happening and suggested she needed more acting experience.
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) convinced Abe to give Bonnie a chance with him directing her, so Abe finally agreed.
Bonnie was terrible at first, but then Johnny got her to tap into some genuine feelings of guilt over how she’d treated Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) in the past.
That led to Bonnie’s amazing audition on Monday’s Days episode, so Abe gave her the job and then gave an angry Kate updates later.
At Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) hotel room, Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) showed up wearing a flashy outfit and brought root beer along with pork rinds.
Hattie was excited to watch “the drag races” with Leo, who corrected her since they were watching RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Since Leo assumed this was Marlena, he was surprised over her new look and snack choices.
Once Hattie learned Leo was working on a script for Body and Soul, she shocked him by admitting she was starring as Charlemagne.
Leo struggled to wrap his head around all these bizarre “Marlena” changes, but he guessed everyone was entitled to reinvent themselves.
At DiMera Enterprises on Monday’s DOOL show, Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) told Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) slept with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), but Gabi insisted she must’ve understood.
However, Gabi changed her tune once Connie shared the exact words Ava said to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Once Gabi realized it was true, she trashed the flowers Stefan sent her and dashed off to confront him.
In the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Gabi marched up to Ava and Stefan as they were having a hush-hush discussion about their secret.
Instead of ripping into Stefan and Ava, Gabi played dumb about how far things went between them and kissed Stefan in gratitude over the floral arrangement.
Gabi also acted hopeful about working with Ava and said she’d see Stefan at home.
Although Stefan was still on edge, Ava suggested Gabi would’ve confronted them if she knew something and basically made a prediction about being in the clear.
Back at the office on Monday’s Days episode, Connie learned Gabi backed out of putting Ava and Stefan on full blast.
Instead, Gabi planned to gather the proof and ammunition she needed to blow those lying cheaters out of the water!
As Connie listened to all the vengeful plans, Gabi insisted she needed her help to make this happen.
