Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, August 19, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) went to see what was delaying Abigail DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) upstairs and found her on the phone insisting she was already nervous enough.
Abigail claimed she was talking to a former nurse who took care of her in Poplar Bluff, so Chad accepted that explanation and tried to lessen her nerves since Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) was excited to see her.
Down in the living room on Monday’s Days episode, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) tried to warn Jennifer that their daughter looked different and didn’t recognize her family at all.
Jennifer thought she was ready, but she had a terrible reaction to seeing Abigail’s new face.
After reaching out to touch Abigail, Jennifer suddenly pulled her hand away and declared that wasn’t her daughter!
Although Jennifer was apologetic, she didn’t feel any connection to Abigail and ultimately ran out in tears.
Abigail went back upstairs while Jack and Chad agreed it was best if Jack took Jennnifer back to Boston.
Jennifer eventually got updates on that plan and agreed to try again once Abigail’s memories returned.
Later, Abigail was brought in the loop on Jennifer and Jack returning to Boston. It left Abigail – or whoever she really is – looking upset over the whole ordeal as Jack and Jennifer headed out.
At Connie Viniski’s (Julie Dove) place on Monday’s DOOL show, she got rid of her Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) cardboard cutout and invited Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) in.
Melinda was adamant about collecting Connie’s DiMera belongings and informing Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) about all the resume lies.
Connie pushed for a chance to explain and served Melinda some tea as she spilled her story.
That led to Connie confessing that she hated Gabi along with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and blamed them for what happened to Li.
Connie also blamed Melinda, who began feeling unwell from the drugged tea and tried to call Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for help.
Unfortunately, Melinda lost consciousness before she could tell Ava anything and ultimately slumped back on the couch.
At The Bistro on Monday’s Days episode, Stefan and Ava acted like Connie must be confused, but Gabi insisted that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) backed up the cheating claims.
After Gabi threw a drink at Stefan and chased Ava off, Stefan tried to convince Gabi to come home and talk this through.
Gabi warned that she wouldn’t be going home with Stefan ever again and declared that their marriage was over.
A weepy Stefan tried to reach for Gabi and insisted she didn’t mean that, but Gabi stomped off.
Our Days predictions point to Gabi carrying out more vengeful plans in the coming episodes, so that could mean terrible news for both Stefan and Ava.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Stefan will have a tough fight on his hands when it comes to winning Gabi back, so stay tuned!
