Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, August 5, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) found a pair of men’s boxer shorts in Fiona Cook’s (Serena Scott Thomas) hotel suite and pushed for answers about whose “knickers” they were. Fiona admitted to having a dalliance with a charming man she met in town, but she declined to offer up a name.
Once they got their heartfelt conversation back on track, Xander forgave Fiona over the past and admitted he’d like for her to attend his wedding do-over.
Fiona also gave Xander a nudge to embrace his birthright since Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) was trying to make amends with half his fortune and control of Titan.
At Small Bar on Monday’s Days episode, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) found Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), who claimed he was just drinking club soda.
Once Brady and Alex commiserated over all their Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) problems, Alex headed out.
Brady was free to guzzle booze and ultimately returned to Fiona’s suite for his underwear.
Things took a passionate turn as Brady kissed Fiona and fell back on her bed for a hot hookup.
Alex stopped by Titan to clean out his office, so he tossed out his CEO nameplate along with a framed photo of himself with Theresa.
When Xander arrived and crossed paths with Alex, they had sympathy for each other since only Theresa and Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) were responsible for the inheritance mess.
Alex also handed over Victor’s watch since it was meant for his son.
Once Xander was alone on Monday’s Days episode, he tried to get more comfortable with the idea of embracing the Titan throne.
Xander sat in the CEO chair and put his feet up on the desk.
At the hospital, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) cried to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) about Everett Lynch aka Robert “Bobby” Stein’s (Blake Berris) demise and offered updates on how it all went down.
Stephanie also mentioned going back to stay at her old apartment, so she spotted Alex going back to his own apartment across the hall once she got there.
Next on Monday’s DOOL show, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) gave Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) the news about John Black (Drake Hogestyn) going missing from Greece and leaving a bloody note behind.
In Poplar Bluff, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) rescued a restrained and beaten John from the room they believed Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller) was in.
John was surprised to learn he was no longer in Greece since he got whacked over the head and couldn’t remember much.
Although John guessed he’d been there a couple days, he was out cold when food was delivered to him.
Chad and Jack filled John in on their search for Abigail, so John saw the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) footage and suggested Clyde Weston (James Read) was stringing them along.
Even so, Chad made a prediction that Abigail could still be alive and wanted to stick around in case the people who held John captive knew anything.
After John called Marlena to let her know he was all right and would be home soon, Jack led him off to get medical attention.
Once Chad was alone, he spotted a piece of jewelry on the floor and realized it belonged to Abigail.
Back in Salem on Monday’s Days episode, Kayla found out about John’s rescue and prepared to fill Marlena in on the Everett tragedy.
