Days of Our Lives Monday, December 16 Recap: Vivian’s Phone Call Panics Kate, Belle’s Curveball During Sarah’s Testimony

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 16, reveals that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) told Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) about rejoining the force and admitted he was divorcing Belle Black (Martha Madison), who he assumed had already left Salem.

In Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) suite, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) heard about his lawyer swap and shut down the idea that she should testify today.

Kate had Philip’s back, but she refused to commit perjury.

Later, Roman got a call from Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) in prison, so Kate grabbed the phone and made an excuse to get rid of Roman.

Since Kate was concerned about Vivian blabbing about her knowledge of the forged letter, she warned Vivian to keep her mouth shut.

At the townhouse on Monday’s Days episode, Belle told Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) that she was staying in town because of Philip’s case.

Although Belle pushed Brady to testify on Philip’s behalf, he couldn’t do that.

Brady argued that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) had already apologized – not to mention Xander’s intention to paralyze and ultimately eliminate him couldn’t be proven.

Brady wasn’t exactly rooting for Philip anyway due to his past frame-up plot, so he urged Belle to explore other options.

In the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Shawn and Belle traded updates, so they realized they were both staying in Salem.

With that in mind, Belle asked Shawn to testify on Philip’s side.

Next on Monday’s DOOL show, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) expressed concern to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) since it was tough to make a prediction on the outcome based on this particular judge.

Although Justin asked Maggie to be a character witness for Xander, she didn’t want to go against Philip since she cared about him, too. Maggie insisted on staying out of the whole legal dispute.

In bed together on Monday’s Days episode, Sarah worked to reassure Xander and ease his anxiety about the case.

By the time Xander and Sarah joined Justin and Maggie, Xander expressed more confidence.

Just before they went before the judge, Xander gave Philip one last chance to drop all this and avoid humiliation.

Philip refused and suggested they should let Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) favorite son win.

Once court was in session, Belle offered up the letter as evidence along with a note from Philip’s medical team to confirm his treatment worked.

Shawn also testified that Philip was groomed to take the Titan throne

However, Justin got Shawn to admit Victor never gave any indication that he wanted his will ignored.

Although Justin submitted Victor’s will into evidence, Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) letter wasn’t accepted since he didn’t show up in person.

The judge didn’t go for the excuse that Alex was busy with Body & Soul and couldn’t reschedule.

When it was Sarah’s turn to testify, she discussed Philip’s money laundering scheme with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Belle got Sarah to admit Victor still allowed Philip to keep the CEO seat at the time.

Once talk turned to what Sarah was willing to do for Xander, Sarah insisted her testimony had been truthful.

Belle suggested that was only the case so far and wondered whether Sarah would lie under oath about Xander’s attempt to kill Brady!

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah will find herself under serious pressure, so don’t miss the news that’s brewing.
