Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 30, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) flew into a rage thinking that Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) were going off on some romantic trip together.
Holly demanded answers about whether Sophia and Tate had been sneaking around behind her back, but Tate said it wasn’t like that at all.
Sophia finally admitted Tate was taking her to get an abortion, so Holly reeled over the news that Sophia was pregnant.
After Tate asked to speak with Holly alone, he apologized for the deception and explained that he just didn’t want to pour salt in the wound.
Tate argued that Sophia didn’t want this baby any more than he did, so he didn’t see why this had to change anything about his relationship with Holly.
Although Holly feared the universe was trying to tell them maybe they shouldn’t be together, Tate didn’t care what the universe thought and insisted their challenges had only made them stronger.
In the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) bumped into Sophia’s mom, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), who asked if Ava could give Sophia her retainer after her shift.
Thanks to Sophia’s cover story, Amy was under the impression that Sophia was heading off on a trip to look at colleges with a friend.
Ava pointed out that Sophia wasn’t working today, but she eventually seemed to realize Sophia might’ve lied to her mom for a reason.
Once Ava claimed she got Sophia mixed up with another employee, Amy quizzed her about whether Sophia had seemed off lately.
Ava acted like it was probably just because of Tate and Holly getting back together.
Amy reflected on Sophia getting tangled up in Holly and Tate’s drama, but she didn’t get why Sophia would be bothered now.
As far as Amy knew, nothing had happened involving Sophia since last spring.
Amy wound up grilling Ava about what she was hiding, but then Sophia appeared and got grilled instead.
Sophia claimed Tate kissed her before reuniting with Holly, but Amy wasn’t convinced she was getting the whole story.
Sophia eventually blurted out that they’d done a lot more than kiss, so Amy fumed over Sophia sleeping with Tate.
Amy brought up pregnancy concerns, but Sophia insisted it was too late and threw up in a nearby trashcan due to her morning sickness.
When Sophia returned to Tate at the townhouse, she made it clear that the trip was off. Tate didn’t understand why, but then Amy came blowing in and confirmed it was because of her.
At the Salem PD on Monday’s Days episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) convinced Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) that she should fire EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and replace him with Belle Black (Martha Madison).
Meanwhile, Belle gave Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) updates on her potential offer to take over the DA position.
Shawn riled Belle up briefly by mentioning her history with EJ, but he smoothed things over and made a positive prediction about Belle in the job.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, EJ did his best to get rid of Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Rafe talked about his investigation into Ava’s texts and the Lady Whistleblower impersonator, but EJ was quick to insist he knew nothing.
Although Rafe thought EJ was acting paranoid, EJ downplayed everything.
In the living room, Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) held up a glass so he could listen through the door.
After Arnold dropped it, Rafe heard the glass smash and had more questions.
EJ finally told Rafe to get off his property and insisted on kicking him out. However, Rafe returned to snoop after EJ was gone and ultimately came face to face with lookalike Arnold.
Back with EJ on Monday’s Days episode, he headed into Jada’s office and learned Paulina was replacing him as DA – effective immediately!
