Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, November 25, reveals that Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) got updates on Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) resigning after Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) picked Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) to stay in the police commissioner role.
Javi also gave Rafe the news about his Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) dating disaster, but Rafe felt like it was for the best considering Leo’s history.
At the Salem PD, Paulina lashed out at Jada for being in her office instead of out there helping track Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) down.
However, Paulina ultimately cooled off and apologized before getting Jada’s reassurance about the case.
Later, Jada sought Rafe’s advice on how to handle Paulina and her overbearing tendencies.
Rafe suggested only offering as much info as necessary and urged Jada not to let Paulina push her around.
In Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office, Leo barged in for an unexpected therapy session since he felt like he’d blown up his life.
Leo explained the Lady Whistleblower impersonator drama and shared how he’d accused Javi before realizing it wasn’t true.
Marlena suspected that due to the pain Leo felt after Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) dumped him, he was subconsciously sabotaging his relationships to avoid more pain.
Leo wanted to stop that sabotage, so Marlena said he was doing the right thing since he was in therapy and working on himself. In the meantime, Marlena suggested Leo could try apologizing to Javi.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Leo indeed tried delivering a sincere apology to Javi. Although Leo poured his heart out and begged for another chance, Javi turned him down and threw him out.
Even so, Javi was distraught once he shut the door on Leo. It was obvious that Javi still had feelings for Leo despite his cold response.
In the town square on Monday’s DOOL show, Paulina found Marlena and confused her for Hattie.
Although Paulina threatened to make a citizen’s arrest, she ultimately realized her mistake and apologized profusely to Marlena.
Marlena understood why Paulina was on edge and offered to buy her some herbal decaf tea to calm her down.
At Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment on Monday’s Days episode, Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) had a positive report since she confirmed the poisoned cupcakes didn’t come from Sweet Bits.
Alex had something to tell Chanel, but Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) interrupted to ask about Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) since she assumed he also got sick on a cupcake.
Chanel eventually got the conversation back on track with Alex, who paused for too long exchanging weird looks with Joy.
Although Chanel thought it seemed like Alex and Joy were having a telepathic conversation, Alex brushed it off.
In the end, Alex backed out of telling Chanel about Joy’s hookup with Johnny. Instead, Alex just acted like he wanted to tell Chanel he probably wouldn’t be able to work tomorrow.
Chanel reminded Alex that they all had the day off for Thanksgiving and headed out. Joy was grateful that Alex didn’t spill the beans, but he pointed out he did it to protect Chanel’s heart.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Johnny told EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) about his close call since he’d been talking in his sleep about Joy.
Although Johnny feared Chanel would eventually figure out the truth, EJ was skeptical.
Johnny worried it’d be worse if Chanel found out from someone other than him, but EJ warned his son that he could pay dearly if he came clean. That said, EJ knew it was ultimately Johnny’s decision alone.
After Chanel came home, she delivered the good news about Sweet Bits not being involved in the tainted cupcake fiasco. Chanel also mentioned her visit to Alex’s place and how she picked up on his “vibe” with Joy.
If something was going on between Joy and Alex, Chanel suggested she be happy for Joy since it was lonely being in a new town.
Johnny piped up like he was going to confess, but he just told Chanel how lucky he was to be married to someone like her.
