Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, September 23, reveals that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) took Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) out for a night at The Bistro, where they enjoyed dinner and dancing.
Johnny also gave Chanel updates on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) sleeping with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) and infuriating Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) as a result.
Once Chanel and Johnny came home to the fire department’s news about the bomb, they realized they needed the full scoop from EJ.
At the hospital on Monday’s GH episode, Gabi thanked EJ for saving her life and apologized for getting so emotional.
EJ understood considering what Gabi had been through today.
Gabi reflected on how she feared she might never see Ariana Horton (Lane Rosa) again and repeatedly praised EJ for coming to her rescue.
After Gabi found out Stefan was threatening to testify against EJ and putting his job on the line, she suggested she could tell Stefan the truth – that they hadn’t slept together a second time.
At Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) place on Monday’s Days episode, she patched up Stefan’s wounded arm and forgave him for insulting her earlier.
Stefan saved Ava from Connie Viniski (Julie Dove), so she was grateful for his bravery.
Since Ava insisted on Stefan getting his arm examined at the hospital, he went along with the idea.
Outside the pub on Monday’s DOOL show, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) convinced Connie to drop the knife and arrested her.
Connie found out Gabi and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) survived her plot, so she wasn’t happy about that news.
Once Ava and Stefan appeared, they explained their latest faceoff with Connie.
Jada found out the blood on the knife was Stefan’s and planned to get statements following his trip to the hospital with Ava.
In the meantime, Jada took Connie to the Salem PD, where Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffmann) cardboard cutout was there as evidence.
Connie kept acting like Li was still alive as she worried about him getting arrested, too.
Although Connie refused to sign a confession and demanded a lawyer, Jada made it clear that she was going down for all her crimes.
Back at the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, EJ traded Connie info with Stefan and Ava once they arrived.
When Stefan found out Gabi had been injured in the explosion, he ran to her bedside and hugged her.
Gabi explained Connie’s Li obsession and how she’d plotted to put her in prison. Once Gabi saw Stefan’s injured arm, he explained how he intervened when Connie went after Ava.
Gabi wasn’t pleased to hear that Stefan was in Ava’s room. Things got worse when Stefan admitted he was there to apologize for trying to get Ava to sleep with him again.
Stefan suggested it was a way to settle the score, but Gabi ranted about how she didn’t really hook up with EJ a second time.
After Gabi ordered Stefan out of her room, she threw a water pitcher in a fit of rage.
Although Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) paid Melinda a visit to offer her the DA job back, Melinda decided to stick with her position at DiMera Enterprises.
Once Paulina passed along word that Connie was in police custody, Melinda was thrilled.
Ava also stopped by to see Melinda and apologized for not digging into her disappearance when she knew something was off.
At the Salem PD again on Monday’s Days episode, Jada made a prediction to Paulina about Connie being headed for Bayview.
Connie continued to crazy in the interrogation room, where she imagined Li was being booked as her accomplice and vowed to get them out of this mess.
