Days of Our Lives Recap: Friday, February 9 – Xander’s Suspicious Run, Harris Shot, Flames Erupt and Theresa’s Ring

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, February 9, reveals that Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) gave Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) a nudge to make things right with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) after his recent outburst.

At The Bistro, Tripp apologized to Ava for how he acted after finding her with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and acknowledged that it was best to keep the peace if they were all going to live under one roof.

Wendy and Tripp chatted with Ava about Valentine’s Day plans before eventually sharing a toast with them, so they were all on good terms.

At Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) place, temptation bubbled over with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).

Xander announced that he was going for a run – seemingly to get away from Sarah and remove himself from that temptation.

Sarah kissed Xander and tried to get him to stay for a different workout in the bedroom, but he insisted on leaving in his running attire.

Once Xander was gone, Sarah noticed that he’d left his phone behind. There was a message from a private number asking if it was done, so Sarah was puzzled.

In the park on Friday’s Days episode, Xander stopped during his run to check his watch briefly.

At Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) place, they discussed Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) appearance at her recent meeting.

Although Alex accused Brady of spying, Theresa defended her ex and felt he really needed to be there for himself.

Theresa admitted she’d probably attend another meeting after work on Valentine’s Day, so Alex seemed surprised over how many meetings she needed.

Since Theresa’s recovery was important to her, she hoped Alex would be able to handle her lifelong devotion to that. Theresa was determined not to let Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) down again.

Alex reassured Theresa before heading to his bedroom to deal with some work emails.

While Theresa was tidying up, she removed Alex’s jacket from a chair and was shocked over the engagement ring box that fell out.

At the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) was armed with a gun as she approached Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) in the dark.

Once Kate realized Lucas had snuck down for a snack, she scolded him for putting himself at risk. Harris arrived to lecture Lucas as well before they all went back up to Harris’ place.

Kate got updates on Lucas contacting reporters for the new drug crisis story and disapproved. Harris also ordered Lucas to stay put after he got a text from Ava about meeting at the loading dock.

Later, a mystery man entered with a gun and fired two shots in Harris’ apartment, so Lucas and Kate’s voices could seemingly be heard crying out.

Once Harris made it to the loading dock, someone wearing running clothes showed up.

Harris recognized the person in front of him before the mystery shooter fired two shots into his chest.

A pair of running sneakers stood by wounded Harris, who eventually lost consciousness.

At the Horton house on Friday’s Days episode, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) told Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) the story of the family home and all who had lived there – including Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).

Once the kids were in bed, Chad expressed his gratitude to Julie as they shared some special cognac and talked about how Chad felt at home there, too.

After Chad and Julie retired for the evening, someone snuck in the Horton house and doused the place with gasoline before striking a match.

Flames quickly engulfed the living room as the masked man admired his handiwork on Friday’s DOOL episode.
