Days of Our Lives recap and spoilers for Monday, January 15, 2024, reveal that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) is worried about her mother’s health. Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) got an update on Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) threatened Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty).
Right afterward, Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) confronted Sloan. Also, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) discussed Salem’s drug crisis.
DOOL spoilers for Monday, January 15 reveal that Paulina, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and Chanel are strolling after the Martin Luther King celebration.
Paulina gushes over all of Salem coming together for a special day. Abe talks about how everyone is inspired by Paulina’s podcast. Chanel brings up that the podcast reminded them all that the day is about service and that good deeds are nourishment for the soul.
Paulina makes a job about Chanel sneaking Abe an unhealthy pastry. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) stops by with hot beverages for the chilly trio.
On Days of Our Lives Monday, January 15, Chad and Everett are picking up trash in the park. The two joke about sports and Everett isn’t a “real” sports guy.
Apparently, he played tennis in high school and mimics hitting trash with imaginary sports equipment.
Then, the two talk about lacrosse. Suddenly, Everett sits down on the bench. Everett looks lightheaded and seems unwell.
Chad decides to take the kids and go get Everett a protein bar. However, what Everett doesn’t know is his ex-wife is nearby.
Back over with Chanel and Johnny, they leave Paulina and Abe. “Janel” head over to Brady’s Pub, where Johnny is helping out Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) during Tate Black’s (Jamie Martin Mann) criminal crisis.
Suddenly, Nicole comes zooming around the corner. Nicole greets Abe and Paulina and then gives them an update about Holly. Nicole tells Abe and Paulina about the clinic in Italy.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, January 15 reveal that Sloan runs into Leo.
Sloan mentions Leo’s allowance and being sleep-deprived. Leo wants more money, but Sloan reminds him if he drains her bank account, then there will be zero dollars.
Leo boasts about Lady Whistleblower making a comeback. Leo hints that his first column might be about Sloan’s secret. Of course, Sloan flies into a complete panic.
Leo and Sloan bicker for a few moments longer. Finally, Leo admits that he’s not planning to expose Sloan’s secret through The Spectator.
At least, as long as Sloan keeps up her end of the bargain. Leo does want more money, though.
Meanwhile, Nicole tells Abe and Paulina that she plans to go to Italy with Holly if she is approved for the program. Nicole mentions that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will stay in Salem.
Paulina promises she is doing everything she can to protect the Salem youth from more tragedies. Abe vows to be there for Nicole.
Near where Everett had his “health moment,” Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) are nearby. Apparently, Jada stopped for a break during her police shift.
Jada was accused of shoplifting, even after Jada told them she was a police officer. Jada ended up calling Rafe, who came to her rescue.
The two talked about racial profiling while Chanel talked about her own experiences with Johnny. One comment that stuck out was Jada telling Rafe that she is a black woman and isn’t allowed to get angry.
Johnny and Chanel then talk about Paulina’s health. Chanel comments that tomorrow is the day that Paulina is supposed to get her biopsy results.
Chanel is worried, but Johnny thinks it’s all just procedure. Johnny makes a sweet comment about Chanel having a soft, squishy heart.
Back over with Sloan, she yells at Leo as he trots off. Sloan yells that they had a deal.
That is when Nicole shows up and asks Sloan what kind of deal she had with Leo. Sloan makes a cover story and the two try to play nice.
Meanwhile, Everett has managed to get back to The Spectator office before Jada sees him. Everett is eagerly munching on a protein bar while discussing the drug story with Chad.
Over with Paulina, she mentions hoping her voice holds up for the new podcast. Abe can sense she is worried but stays silent while being supportive.
Rafe and Jada sit down at Brady’s Pub. Jada wants to go back to work. Rafe tells Jada that she had a rough morning and it’s okay to take a breath.
Johnny explains why he’s helping out at Brady’s Pub as he gives them menus. Suddenly, Chanel springs over and offers Jada the rest of their pastries.
At the Spectator office, Everett and Chad continue talking. Leo bursts in and demands confetti. Everett jokes about Leo’s cape. Chad doesn’t understand the publishing joke, so Chad and Everett kinda explain it to him.
Chad brings up that Leo’s column is two days late. Leo sends it to them and eagerly waits for Everett and Chad’s response.
Sloan brags about having Eric and Jude but admits she is sleep-deprived. Sloan asks Nicole about Holly. Nicole tells Sloan about the Italian clinic. Sloan is miffed that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) didn’t mention that to her.
Nicole says it’s because she hasn’t told Eric about it yet. Then, Sloan asks if Nicole will be going to Italy with Holly. When Nicole says yes, Sloan blurts out that it’s wonderful news.
Sloan explains that she is now a “religious” woman. Sloan vaguely says the pregnancy, miscarriage, and adoption have changed her.
Nicole is doubtful. Sloan then admits that they are having a family dinner but Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) intimidates her.
Sloan talks about how perfect the devil-possessed psychiatrist is. Nicole gives Sloan some advice and tells her to wind down with some wine before the guests arrive.
Paulina talks about her mother and MLK with Abe. Paulina uses it as an excuse to keep “pushing through.”
Over with Rafe and Jada, they continue talking about racial profiling. Meanwhile, Johnny tells Chanel that he never noticed her having any kind of issue. That is when Chanel brings up specific examples, including one situation that happened overseas.
Nicole really seems to be trying to help give Sloan good advice. Sloan can tell that Nicole really is trying. It’s a nice moment between them, which makes Sloan’s secret even worse!
Chad admits that he never heard of a lot of the intel in Leo’s column. Leo says back in the old days, nobody wanted to link gay rights with civil rights. Leo says it still happens. Chad and Everett are impressed.
Everett suggests that it’s published under Leo’s real name and not Lady Whistleblower. Chad brings up that it might not be able to be published at all, though.
Paulina is struggling. Abe pushes Paulina to call the doctor. Paulina tells Abe she is getting her biopsy results the next day.
Abe wants to know why Paulina didn’t tell him about this. It’s a tense moment, but Paulina eventually says she wants Abe to be there with her, and he agrees.
Chanel talks to Johnny about when her father got sick and lost health insurance.
Chanel always wondered if her father would have survived if they hadn’t lost the insurance. Chanel brings up about people of color and lack of health insurance.
Soon, Johnny and Chanel sit down with Rafe and Jada. This is the unexpected double date that was teased. Jada and Chanel talk about strangers touching their hair.
Nicole tells Sloan that she knows Eric being at the hospital with Holly hasn’t been easy for her. Nicole tells Sloan how much she appreciates it. But Sloan tells Nicole that she hasn’t been THAT generous.
Everett and Chad debate with Leo about the column. Everett wants to publish it, but Chad is worried about the fallout from those who disagree. Chad eventually agrees to publish Leo’s column. Leo does a group hug with Chad and Everett.
Jada talks about Jada not approving of her first husband. Speaking of blatant racism, Jada’s mother wasn’t thrilled with her marrying a white Jewish guy.
Then the guy vanished. So, that opened the door for Jada, Rafe, Chanel, and Johnny to talk about interracial marriage. It brings up potential situations that Johnny and Chanel need to discuss.
Abe wants to be there for Paulina. Abe bring up that she was there for him when he wasn’t well. Paulina starts off her podcast with Abe.
As Paulina struggles to hold her throat, Abe is there to jump in when she needs him to.
Nicole tells Sloan that she let her off the hook after she took Jude. Sloan and Nicole have a really nice talk.
Sloan tells Nicole that she’s glad that Eric had that time with Holly. Sloan says Eric will always love Holly and Nicole, then rushes off. Nicole tries to call Sloan back, she feels bad, but Sloan takes off.
Chad talks about working with someone he’s had conflicts with in the past. Then, Leo asks for the rest of the day off.
Back at Brady’s Pub, Johnny tells Rafe that he idolized him as a kid. Rafe already knew. Johnny talked about how he thought he would be in the FBI one day.
Rafe is surprised as Johnny’s always been a storyteller. Johnny talks about how he’s an out-of-work filmmaker and helping at Brady’s’ Pub makes him feel useful.
Johnny wants a career that means something, that does some good. Chanel talks about how she uses the bakery to tell people to celebrate life and their special moments.
Paulina thanks Abe for being her special guest and giving her “an assist.” However, she ends the podcast on her own and beautifully.
Rafe, Johnny, Chanel, and Jada toast to MLK, Paulina, and to themselves.
