Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, September 16, reveals that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was stuck on “Abigail DiMera’s” (AnnaLynne McCord) lie and all the weird aspects of her story. Although Steve wanted Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to run another DNA test, Kayla refused to break the rules.
Steve ultimately decided he’d find a way to see Clyde Weston (James Read) at his maximum-security prison and get some answers.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) overheard “Abigail” saying she was “freaking out.”
“Abigail” covered up her phone call with Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) by acting like she was calling for takeout and forgot the address.
Talk turned to Steve seeming suspicious, so Chad acknowledged that many people might view “Abigail’s” return as too good to be true.
However, this was the miracle that Chad was waiting for, so he assured “Abby” that he was grateful.
After Chad offered up a wedding photo album, “Abigail” learned they’d been married three times.
Chad talked about how they always found their way back together and recited vows from one of those weddings, which made “Abby” emotional.
“Abigail” nearly kissed Chad, but they were derailed by a phone call from Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) with Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) news.
Chad had to rush off, but “Abby” was clearly still overwhelmed as he left.
Just when “Abigail” didn’t think she could do this anymore, Clyde texted her to ask why she hadn’t gotten Chad down the aisle yet.
Clyde reminded “Abby” of what would happen if she didn’t get it done and left her rattled.
While Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) gave Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) updates on her hypnosis session being a bust, Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) made a shocking admission to Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
At Basic Black on Monday’s Days episode, Xander was horrified over Fiona confessing that she slept with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) – and that it happened more than once.
Xander worried that Fiona fell off the wagon and that’s why she ended up with Brady, but Brady lied that he was the only one who turned back to alcohol. After Xander ripped into Brady and fired him, he left in a huff.
Brady was thankful to Fiona for saving him from Xander’s attack – and she was thankful that he concealed her own alcohol issues.
That said, Fiona thought it was best to avoid each other from now on.
Xander ultimately met up with Sarah, who learned that he went after Brady – until Fiona stopped him with her confession about their time in the bedroom.
At Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) place, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) apologized for not showing up at Everett Lynch’s (Blake Berris) memorial service.
Stephanie got some comfort over the loss along with Alex’s reassurance that she’d find love again.
After Alex showered Stephanie with compliments on Monday’s DOOL show, they shared a passionate kiss before pulling back.
Alex didn’t think this was a good idea since Stephanie was still healing over Everett and he was still healing over Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien).
Stephanie praised Alex’s growth before they watched TV together.
Our Days predictions point to Alex and Stephanie still having a future together, so don’t miss what’s next for them.
