Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 18, reveals that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) told Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) that they’d have to pull the plug on Bella since it was failing again and their biggest advertiser had dropped out.
Although Alex assured Theresa he’d find another job for her, Theresa thought it was best if she quit.
Alex tried to protest, but Theresa stood her ground and walked out of Titan looking emotional.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) said he couldn’t accept Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) proposal and put her in an awkward situation with her friends and family.
Maggie didn’t care what anyone else thought and wanted to make amends for the drama Konstantin’s feud with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) had brought to his life.
After Maggie insisted she didn’t want Konstantin to leave the country, he finally accepted her proposal and gushed over her kindness.
Konstantin was fine with it being a marriage in name only and agreed when Maggie asked if they could keep the news between them for now.
At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s DOOL show, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) grilled EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) about their deal, but EJ didn’t think he owed Kristen an explanation.
EJ ultimately taunted Kristen about not being a DiMera by blood and gloated to Stefan about the statement PR was putting out that would trash his reputation.
Once EJ left, Stefan pointed out that although he couldn’t be DiMera Enterprises’ CEO anymore, Kristen was a pardoned felon and could still take the throne.
Kristen liked the sound of taking power away from EJ, but she wondered what Stefan wanted in return.
Stefan pushed Kristen to help him get Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) out of prison, so Kristen agreed to think about the deal.
After Kristen asked if Gabi was innocent and got Stefan’s confirmation, she suggested that the most legal way of pulling this off was to find out who actually caused Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) demise.
Stefan pointed out that the police had exhausted all leads and his private investigator had come up empty, but Kristen insisted she’d find a way.
Meanwhile, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) questioned Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) about the real reason she was moving out, so Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) eavesdropped and looked concerned.
Once Wendy entered, Ava offered reassurance about not being in any kind of trouble and tried to convince Tripp it was just time for her to go.
After Ava exited, Wendy opened up to Tripp about her terrible first day back at work and confessed she was scared of putting her parents through another scary ordeal.
Although Wendy knew Tripp would want to help ifAva was in more trouble, she didn’t think she could take another ordeal like the one they faced in that tank.
Tripp insisted nothing like that was going to happen again, but he got Wendy to think about maybe talking to a professional to work through her trauma.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) suggested toasting to fresh starts, but Ava was hesitant since she still had Clyde Weston’s (James Read) latest demand hanging over her.
Harris told Ava that they’d use her keys to get back in The Bistro and retrieve Gil Carter’s (David S. Lee) black book.
When it was time to hand the book off to Clyde, Harris insisted they’d grab him and have him thrown back behind bars.
When EJ showed up and mentioned Ava’s email resignation, he wanted her to hand over The Bistro keys so that he could give them back to Stefan.
Ava claimed she didn’t have those keys on her and said she preferred to hand them over to Stefan anyway.
Harris ended up bickering with EJ about setting Stefan free and vowed to make it his mission to find out what kind of leverage Stefan had.
EJ pointed out that he knew about Harris cutting a deal of his own to protect Ava, so he urged Ava and Harris to stay on his good side.
Otherwise, at the very least, Harris would no longer be a police officer.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Maggie looked at a framed photo of herself with Victor before gazing at her wedding ring.
Maggie hoped she was doing the right thing before Theresa showed up needing to confide in her sponsor.
Once Theresa offered updates on Bella’s shutdown and her decision to quit Titan, she said she was never qualified and only got the job because she pushed herself on Alex.
Although Theresa felt like a total failure, Maggie blamed Alex for putting Theresa in charge of a doomed magazine.
Maggie decided she wanted to have a little talk with Alex, so she paid him a visit at Titan and urged him to bring her back on board at the company.
By working alongside Alex, Maggie felt that they could restore Titan to what it once was and honor Victor’s legacy.
At the Kiriakis mansion again, Konstantin reminded Theresa to keep her end of the bargain and lock in the other half of the Kiriakis fortune by marrying Alex.
Konstantin also boasted about his own engagement to Maggie and hinted about needing to find something before he could ever consider leaving Salem.
Theresa was sick of this whole scheme, but Konstantin threatened to blab about Theresa kidnapping Victoria Horton.
After Theresa said she’d take Konstantin with her if she went down, he warned her to stick to the plan or else she’d be sorry!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Theresa will continue to land in some messy situations thanks to her plot with Konstantin, so we’ll bring you predictions on all the drama that’s looming.
