Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 20, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) opened up to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about his Valentine’s Day disaster with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), so Marlena stressed the importance of not fighting in front of his daughter.
Brady understood that, but he also acknowledged how crazy it made him whenever he got around Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and she pushed him over the edge.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Brady reflected on Tate Black’s (Jamie Martin Mann) letter to him being colder than the one he sent Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien), so he felt his son was blaming him for not being around when he was younger.
However, Marlena assured Brady of Tate’s love and felt he was just latching onto his dad as a scapegoat for everything that had gone wrong.
Meanwhile, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) came home to find Theresa packing and yelling at a Salem Inn employee over the phone.
There were no more rooms available, but Theresa made it clear that she was leaving anyway.
Alex protested and tried to explain that he just wanted to slow things down a bit when it came to the proposal.
After attending a support group for people in relationships with addicts, Alex realized he needed to pump the brakes.
Theresa felt like Alex was saying she was too much to handle and headed for the door, but he yelled for her to stop and asked her to marry him.
Of course, Theresa knew it wasn’t a real offer of marriage. It was just a proposal happening out of guilt and pity, so Theresa wasn’t interested.
Alex worried that Theresa might spin out and relapse, but she acted like this little debacle wasn’t that serious and threw her key at him as she left with her suitcase.
Afterward on Tuesday’s Days episode, Theresa ended up at the townhouse and asked if she could stay in Tate’s room since she was leaving bright and early to visit Tate with Brady tomorrow.
Marlena found out about Theresa walking out on Alex, so she decided to pay Alex a visit and see if he needed someone to talk to.
Alex was grateful for the late-night therapy session, which gave him a chance to open up about the proposal debacle along with his concerns about Theresa’s addiction and becoming a stepfather.
Although Alex loved Theresa, Marlena acknowledged that his love wasn’t unconditional and understood that he had to do what was right for him.
Back with Brady, he also found out about Theresa discovering the ring and flipping out when Alex didn’t actually pop the question.
Brady questioned whether Theresa loved Alex, so she hesitated before asking why else she’d want to marry him.
Although Brady admitted it was crass, he hinted that maybe Alex’s new fortune was a factor.
Theresa flashed back to finding out about Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) inheritance and scheming to make it Alex’s inheritance instead.
Nevertheless, Theresa acted offended over Brady accusing her of being a gold digger.
Brady apologized and was sorry Theresa was hurting, so he gave he a hug and let her know she could always count on him.
Theresa seemed touched and headed toward the bedroom, but she stopped to pause and gaze back at Brady.
At the pub on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) assured Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) was safe before treating her to a romantic dinner for two.
Kate felt bad for not getting Roman a Valentine’s Day present, but he didn’t mind – especially once she danced with him and purred in his ear about the gift she was going to give him in the bedroom.
Over with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) brought her home and encouraged her to get some rest. Ava just wanted to shower and have some espresso before heading back to the hospital.
Stefan argued that Ava couldn’t be hanging around wringing her hands over Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) since it could get back to Clyde Weston (James Read).
Ava finally relented and said she’d text Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) to be her eyes and ears.
However, Tripp wasn’t texting back, so Ava mentioned that it was unlike him.
There was also talk about Ava planning to get revenge on the person who did this to Harris, but Stefan acted like they may never get answers – especially if Harris didn’t wake up.
Ava didn’t want Stefan talking like that since she was holding out Hope that Harris would pull through.
Stefan tried to make Ava an omelet, but she wasn’t hungry and seemed suspicious of how nice he was being.
Although Ava wondered what was in it for Stefan, he acted like he was just trying to do a nice thing.
Ava eventually got a call from the hospital and learned Tripp never showed up for his shift, so she gave Stefan updates on the alarming news.
At Small Bar on Tuesday’s Days episode, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) met up with Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) before Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) interrupted to blast Melinda over Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) demise.
Sloan recalled that Connie was a former client and thought she was crazy for thinking Li was her lover after one date.
After Connie stomped off, Sloan resumed her conversation with Melinda and continued ranting about the baby taking center stage in Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) life.
Sloan was starting to get drunk, so at one point she mentioned she wasn’t Jude Brady’s real mother since they stole him from Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker).
Melinda pushed Sloan to keep her voice down and start appreciating her life with Eric and Jude instead.
The secret could ruin everything if it came out, so Melinda warned Sloan not to vent to anyone else.
After Melinda left, Sloan ordered up another drink as Connie gazed over from across the room. It raised the possibility that Connie might’ve overheard more than Sloan and Melinda intended!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sloan is bound to create a few more messes, so stay tuned to DOOL.
